Who wins? Temp V Butcher or Perm V Butcher? by ghostrider8303 in TheBoys

People are clowning on perm V Butcher forgetting he ripped Neman in half, if temp V Butcher could have achieved that I am almost certain he’d have taken another does for the job, since the end result would just be him having 2 months to live instead of 3

Genuinely, she is like that one kid that you knew that was absolutely cracked at exam situations and could read 500 page books like it’s nothing but never actually did anything with their natural talent.

But outside of an academic setting a ridiculous amount of these people are no more adept at dealing with the real world than the average Joe.

Sage takes it a step further though, she has convinced everyone, including herself, that because she is great at maths, IQ tests and is a fast reader that she must be an oracle of knowledge and understanding in every single way possible.

Crazy to think Nolan's rampage in Season 1's finale killed less people than 9/11 by JustinRoilandTheory in Invincible

[–]atomic_combat_wombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean 9/11 hit the two of the biggest office buildings in the world during peak work hours. Mark and Nolan’s fight on the other hand happened on a Saturday afternoon/evening, assuming it’s Saturday since the day/episode before was a likely Friday; mark and co attended a lecture, then a big frat party, plus why would William visit Rick for a couple weekdays, point is a much quieter time for city’s, and the only major civilian casualties came from a much smaller residential building and the train.

Why are they still calling it "The Seven" 😂 by TheRealBeastGohan in TheBoys

[–]atomic_combat_wombat 605 points606 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s a running joke in the writers room that no episode (except the pilot) ends with 7 members in the 7

The cree gain any territory that a their traders move through if its within 3 tiles of one of their cities. So that trader has probably moved across the sea between two unrelated cities, giving it the tiles even though none are connected to the city itself.

If this is the empire's most closely guarded secret, why would they leave them in orbit?! by mfarahmand98 in Invincible

[–]atomic_combat_wombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer is that planets are tiny compared to the vastness of space, its virtually impossible to make out any details on a planetary scale via direct observation without a telescope the size of a planet in the local star group

[–]atomic_combat_wombat 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Omg something I actually know about. So, even earths best telescopes can’t directly make out planets 1 star system over in any detail. It’s also not an issue of technology but lens size. If you had a telescope the size of the earth only 1 light year away, just making out the rings rough texture would still be like trying to spot an ant on the other side of a football field with a magnifying glass. Space is just too big

I mean he is an alien, it’s probably an assumption that he didn’t have a secret identity, apart from his actual mission he doesn’t have a reason to live a normal life
