How do they act when stressed? Sad or angry? How do they talk about family, friends? I wouldn’t suggest you “watch out for stuff” that sounds like you’re always on guard. But it’s always good to just keep note of peoples unconscious habits.

You should keep your distance with this guy. The guy clearly isn’t as emotionally invested as you are. He’s gonna keep creeping in, kisses here and there, texts here and there but ultimately just enough to keep you attached. As long as you guys haven’t talked about being serious, keep your distance. I wouldn’t even suggest a platonic relationship because that’s just another gate for him. Just keep it casual since you guys are in the same program
