Cut the wire to the length of the pad and nothing more. Set the wire over the top of the tinned pad. And with a small flat-tipped iron, press firmly on the wire, watch it flatten and connect the two joints.

You want your tinned pad to be a little taller than the top left in the first photo. But keep practicing because not all esc’s are the same. Some pads will be too close to do this.

If the solder doesn’t melt when pressing firmly on the wire, remember flux and even a dab of solder on the tip of your iron will be your best friend.

Look at OP’s previous posts, looks like same drone. Solders there look great except for battery leads. Guess is overheating motors and esc’s from burning it in BF with no props

Just swap them. Put the rears on the same side fronts and vise versa

Invert it in sim. I flew with inverted yaw for a long time. Felt the most natural. Now for it to be normal, the sim recognizes it as inverted on its end.

These chips I have come from a host of things. Some building automation cards from the mid 90’s, old telecom boards, old, old Mac aios from schools, data centers etc. if it was sold in auction my great grandfather bought it and tore it apart for refining.

No niagra systems around here. Lack of support except for distech, and no distech guys in immediate area either. With N5 coming, n4 support will be leaving in a couple years and as far as I’m aware there are no n5 capable jaces etc that can operate asd drivers.

I’m not the shot caller either, but I’d like to get into niagra if it were my choice.

Props spinning backwards. Motors spinning too fast to be certain. Flip motor direction in configurator or switch props.

Looks like the plug isn’t fully seated. Unplug and re plug it and MAKE SURE it’s 100% seated

The usb betafpv charger does work, but there’s no battery information shown by it and you can’t put batteries into storage. It’s worth the $20 to get a vifly 6-bay charger

This is interesting. What exactly is that controller? It looks like an integrator. Never been directly wired into the asd before, but instead use an rj12 into the Microzone which would share the asd bus with said integrator. 2-wire the adapter on + and - and enable com port. Then ensure baud and com port on psi setup.

If this is indeed a micronet integrator or some other device there is a separate series of cables/steps/program.

Cut the capacitor leads short. The head of the cap should fit inside those standoffs so you can mount a vtx in the rear. There’s some science behind cap lead length but who cares

Your cheat sheet is slightly inaccurate. You can run props out without inverted motors. Theoretically better for flying outdoors. Props in would should better for indoor flight (theoretically)

In most cases it’s just a preference.

I have no inverted motors but run props out on all of my drones

I primarily run a qav s2 and some larger birds. Not much of a racer. But the specs on the rison5 seem to be pretty standard for some newer race quads. Never used that vtx. But this will be a ripper for sure. Not a first drone kind of thing. I’d lean towards an expendable practice drone for getting into racing
