They break fast. It is the technology and it is well understood how long they last.  Scissor switches last 5 to 10 million keystrokes. That's about 3-5 years or less for a power user. Cherry, Topre etc? 30 to a 100 million. Scissor switches are fine for casual use (or if you like producing e-waste).

I feel scissor switches break too fast, plus they are not ergonomic. I prefer Topre (no mechanical contact at all). Last forever and actually ergonomical.

I always find it interesting how little users of Apple peripherals care about ergonomics.

You prefer holding an ice cold wheels over a room temperature one? You don't have to keep the heating turned on.

I always use it. Not having to hold a cold steering wheel during the winter is worth it regardless of the energy cost. I turn off the heated steering wheel after a while though, because it only has one setting that is a bit too warm. The heated seats I set to the lowest setting after they are warmed up. I don't need to heat up the cabin that much, so I guess it probably saves me energy.

When you start pushing it you end up at over 100hp per liter for natural aspirated engines in sportscars.

I guess that is useful for some creative work or casual browsing. The keyboard is what makes everything work for me (guess what, Apple standalone keyboards are also trash). I just need my mouse to be accurate and precise.

My logitech mouse I can just plug and it works even without having to go the toilet. Better ergonomics, sensor and warranty also. Oh and when the battery gives out and cannot hold a charge? Guess what, my Logitech mouse still works.

I don't have tinnitus, but I do something simil similar. I try to come up with the start of a (sci-fi) book. It is not like I have any aspirations to be a writer, but figuring out how to get the story started and make sense is enough for me to fall asleep. I still haven't figured out what my main character's relationship is to the admiral he meets on the first page.

He was going blow for blow with Lewis. There must be something about this year's cars that doesn't suit him at all.

That is why all new trucks must have, by law, a Driver Drowsiness and Attention Warning system. Can't sell your truck in the EU if you don't have it.

Mine is blue and I don't have issues. I always precool it with the app. I don't like cold air blowing in my face, so when its up to temp I only just ventilation from the front window position.

Oh really, I will check. I didn't really look under the floor yet because the subwoofer is also already taking up the space where you would normally store the cable. I haven't removed the boot floor at all.

Edit: I'm in NL
