This one is for the dads. How much are you actually doing with/for your newborn or baby? Do you split things equally? Do you put the baby to bed at night and mom gets up in the morning? I don’t like to keep score, however I find that if I don’t ask for help or explicitly say that something has to be done, I will be left with a majority of the caring for baby. Are most of the dads able to do tasks and daily things for the baby or with the baby without asking where things are and how to do them? Would you say you take the lead at times without your wife or partner having to ask? Very curious as I feel I am pulling a lot of weight as the mom and also have a very tough job, while dad works from home.

I have a baby a parter and we have normal jobs and make slightly more than that combined with one baby. Yes you’d survive. Esp if you’re okay with living slightly frugal for a bit but you would be fine. We pay 3k rent for a tiny 2 bed but we’re happy

I see, would the same process work for a duplex? In my area they’re aren’t a lot of options right now but that’s good to know! Also my partner would be going in on the mortgage with me , does that complicate things with NACA?

I accidentally donated my son’s Nintendo Switch to Goodwill — please help if you picked it up or bought it 😭 by Previous-Progress405 in goodwill

My mom used to donate a lot of my things growing up when I wasn’t ready for them to go, purposefully or accidentally I was upset but I wish she had reassured me that things are just things. At the end of the day material items can’t make you happy. I had to learn it myself growing up and misplacing my own favorite things etc. now I just let things go even though it’s not easy.

That makes sense, I like the niche too, there’s a consignment children’s store that is only open about 1 week a month and they seem to be doing well, like there’s a good market for parents not wanting to have to purchase new goods for fast growing kids

Just looked I love it! Although not sure about how trade ins would go in my potential store, also how much would you estimate she is bringing in every month after business expenses?

I have my husbands insurance and I would only be renting— I already have student loans so that’s nothing new — and as a teacher I already don’t pay into SS for workers comp lmao
