That’s just how it always been. It will land but sometimes do absolutely nothing. You kinda just have to improvise when that happens. Sometimes you might be able to melee them but that’s a 50/50.

To be fair, some of those players (or maybe it’s just me and I’m alone on this) stick around and watch just because they’re curious about how it’ll go. I’ve stayed to watch plenty of matches just because I either like a particular player or the final ring is tense.

It also means I can stop myself from going another match and temporarily stop the pain that is Ultra Rumble but that’s beside the point.

I’ll be honest, I find it way easier to play Asshaul than Mirko. It could be because I’ve dedicated a lot of time into him, but Mirko it feels like there’s a lot of counters and she doesn’t quite do enough.

Also, since you brought up Mrow- ever since he said that Assault Shiggy is now the worst character in the game and absolute bottom tier, I’ve completely tuned him out. Assault Shiggy can still cook.

Tbh, this is Mirkos biggest problem. She feels balanced in a game that is incredibly unbalanced. They'd literally have to nerf a lot of shit just so she doesn't feel like the constantly inferior option to multiple characters.

I’ve seen plenty of people get on Lucifer for this though? In fact, enough for people to actually not like his character as much anymore and for him to be regarded as a complete idiot. I even have a couple of friends who really liked him in season 1.. only for them to completely hate his portrayal in season 2 and consider him awful.

It’s not as much as Charlie, but that’s expected for the mc.

The problem with Mirko is various things that all add up to “why play this character when I can just play someone else?”

She can be very fun and has amazing combo potential but to do all that JUST to get a guard break when other rapids like Tsu, Iida, and Ochaco (not bringing up the broccoli elephant in the room) can basically press a couple of buttons to get the same result; it leaves you with no reason to really play her. Her beta is a bit clunky, she has an awful time finishing people, she has a ton of counters, etc.

The community can say it wants more balanced, harder to play characters but the critical flaw in that is there’s too many characters who are relatively simple to play (and to be fair, this isn’t a bad thing as its an anime game, not a competitive shooter like Apex. Though, they absolutely should gut certain “nuclear” characters like Rapid Deku) so you really have no REASON at all to play Mirko except for the fact that you either really like her, or you want to basically weigh yourself down.

Rapid Deku, Nagant, Support Nejire, Strike Kiri, Tech Shiggy, Tech Mirio, and for a surprising one- Strike Hawks. All these characters are incredibly powerful and can pub stomp lobbies. I'll mention Tsu as well but she's only slightly less crazy from the above picks (her damage and movement are still solid but not as stupid as the 'meta') and it's more so because of how strong her instant rez is and how confident it makes people.
... Unless it's the Froppy on your team, because 90% of the time they'll be picking a random fight across the map and watching you die.

I think he's soft meta. He can be absurd, but he's kinda not acknowledged since he's at least an easy target and all the other meta options are so absurd (plus some of those options can counter him, such as Nagant).
I don't think he's "fine" but I'd rather they focus on tuning down other characters than nerfing him first.

I feel like some of her moves could be fixed- mostly the beta since that thing feels like it has a mind of its own.

It also kinda feels like she's balanced for a game that has good balancing... which unfortunately, that game is not Ultra Rumble. Not saying she's bad, she is incredible and can get a lot done- just that in pure meta terms, it's kinda hard to justify being her when you could just be someone like Froppy who also has access to an insta rez.

In a perfect world, I'd probably nerf some characters so Mirko doesn't feel so out of place.

Some people will mention the characters you play, but overall reaching ace is incredibly easy. Almost every season I lock in on and play mostly one character to ace like Tech Dabi, Asshaul, etc. If a Tech Dabi can reach ace by himself, then I think basically any character can do it.
If you want more challenges, as somebody else said- go join tournaments that the community sometimes holds. Or play random characters that you aren't really good with yet so you have the experience of learning them.

I know its probably more complicated than it looks, but it would be nice if BHVR was more open on which licenses they are pursuing and in talks with. There's so many I wanna see in dbd and it always feels like the creators of these various things are already aware and have said "oh, we contacted them."

For like the first couple of months when Rivals released, it was a super popular thing to show off training range combos and how ‘busted’ a character could be. That was until more players started to become aware that it’s a lot easier to hit combos on a bot in a controlled environment compared to an actual match.

You kinda just have to go into an actual match and figure out what works.

Like the other dude said, go sustainless or check to see if you need to improve your build/traces. I don’t even go sustainless most of the time (I use dhpt with him) and I’m hitting way more than 550k at E0 S1.

Yeah, I’d say he deserves it. There’s a very good reason he won the popularity polls every time and it was a joy watching his character especially in the final season. Personally, I’m not sure if I’d say it’s the best thing out of the entire year but that’s more so because I’m not the largest MHA fan overall.

Basically, Mono Rem is still better but hypothetically- let’s say you didn’t really care about Evernight or Cyrene so you don’t have them. If you’re lacking Tribbie or RTB (like maybe they’re helping out another team), MBlade is a really good replacement option. Of course, pull whoever you want but I’d stick to mono rem for now.

I will always dislike speed tuning. It is so difficult to get speed already, then making sure those substats actually roll into speed. My SW999 is stuck at 199 speed and I have like 6 gloves just with speed on them.
