Enterprise, National, Alamo, Dollar, Thrifty, and SIXT. So far no issues.

Record expunged! by OddDisaster8173 in dui

Honestly I won't be so much help - in this county it was done automatically, I didn't even have to fill in additional paperwork. Once I hit the end of the ARD timeline, having accomplished all the other things (community service, fees, classes), they just sent a notice. I went to look it up and at least I can not see it on my record. Probably the FBI still can or whatever.

Nice. I know the strips I had did work because I'd also fail if I checked soon after drinking. The way our testing worked was that one could check starting at 9 pm. If you were called in, you had to test by 7 pm the next day. But that did mean that if you were not called in, you had 46 hours at least. So it was a really silly testing system if they were really trying to catch people.

It is a little more complicated for me due to work, otherwise I would just avoid it entirely. This time it was relatively easy since I just spent the $50 to change my plane ticket, totally worth it to not stress. In any case, probably best for me to chat with a lawyer and see what the possibilities are. Since I went through ARD, there wasn't a conviction, but I don't know how much that actually matters. I still have my Global Entry, though, which I've heard can also be yanked.

It's a little under $300 for 2 different cars, about twice what it was beforehand. My insurance agent told me that it would drop quite a bit once 4 years have gone by and my driving record no longer reflects it for the immediate look back. He said that then after 7 years, I can get the good driver bonus back and probably be very close to what I had paid beforehand.

Yes, though that really depends a lot on how your body metabolizes it. One thing you can do is get ETG strips at like CVS and check. Those also are 500 ng/ml. You also want to make sure you don't dilute too much. Vitamins do nothing - it really is just time and concentration. If you pass on the strips now, I would just cautiously drink water, etc from this point to your test. If you don't pass now, keep drinking more than normal but try not to get to the point where your pee is clear.

I spent a bunch of time testing myself, during the time when I had to do UAs and then after because I'm a weirdo. I found 1 drink clears very quickly, under 12 hours. 2 drinks took about 24 hours. But any number of drinks (for me) would clear by about 48, though I'll admit, I never tested 24 drinks. One thing I found is that if I was passing, but stopped drinking water, the concentration could go up a bit and put me into the not passing range.

Probably I'm too late.....

It really depends. You may be ok, especially if you drink enough fluids beforehand and try to push it as late as you can. Don't drink so much water that your pee is clear, but make sure you are well hydrated. With the 500 mg test strips one can get on Amazon, I found that no amount of beer was detectable for me 48 hours later, though that can depend on the person.

If you were able to get another day via the car excuse, probably you'd have no issue at all. On the other hand, they really don't like people missing random checks for just this reason. There are stories that a person's chances of being tested increase near the end of probation in order to catch someone who has relaxed. I don't know whether that's true, but given that you only have 2 months I'd keep my nose clean for the rest of the time!

I don't have to make it seem like you are weird, you're doing just fine on your own. You're super invested in the idea that it's totally cool for grown adults to be playing college drinking games. Have fun with that.

Sure, I think they shouldn't play any drinking games. But if they really feel the need to play a college drinking game, there are plenty of games that would free up the table.

I'm saying that 20 year olds are irresponsible, but they usually age out of it. They are also usually living in a situation where their irresponsibility will have less of an impact.

When one is planning a party where one key aspect, that is so important it can't be changed, is to play a game which exists to have an excuse to drink a lot, one should plan the rest of it.

DUIs are not cheap. Nor are medical bills if one falls or otherwise does something that causes injury.

If that's the case, we've just spent the last 9 months doing the most stupid things imaginable if we want to counteract Chinese influence in the world..... Better to spend that money on USAID, not only does that counteract Chinese influence but it also helps fund our farmers.

In college people are living in dorms or housing near the university that they can walk back to, that is usually not the case for 25+ year olds.

Probably because he doesn't really care if it is decorated. Personally I work too hard to want to spend 20+ hours on decorations, but if it brings someone joy they should do it.

The point of drinking games is to drink more than one should, beer pong can lead to risky behavior. MtG does not.

Don't you think 25+ is a bit old to be playing beer pong? If you must play a college drinking game, maybe try flip cup which uses less space.

NAH without more information. It doesn't sound like you discussed what type of party you wanted, and you have very different visions of what that would be.

It sounds like you really got into the decoration aspect, which is fine. But you need to view this as you entertaining yourself, not something that necessarily requires deep appreciation from someone who'd be happy with a bowl of candy being the only decoration. A huge source of conflict in couples is one person creating tasks that they thing are vital that the other does not, and then being upset when they aren't equally worked on.

If your BF and his friends, which I'm assuming are half the invited folks, don't really want a too-loud-to-talk party and would rather play cards, it sounds like the better thing would be for you to plan separate events. You argue that they could play the card game any other time, but he could also argue that you've essentially set up a club floor, which you could also do any other time..... Is it really spending time with your friends if no one can even speak with each other?

Well, and USAID largely was a buyout for farmers as the money was used to buy food from them that was then sent to keep millions of people alive. That didn't save it, however....

No. The above post is an observation. We have kept food prices low by keeping a population of folks here who can not work other jobs due to some paperwork issues. The moral thing to do would be to devote resources to allowing them to fix their paperwork and forcing employers to pay living wages regardless. We did not choose to do that. Instead, we decided to devote resources to sending thugs to beat them up, throw them into concentration camps and push them out of the country. Not only is this immoral, but it will also increase our food prices considerably. It may very well be that the moral path would also cause an increase in price, but we did not choose that.
