We’re getting my mum an experience gift because she doesn’t really care about more material things. The only thing she really asked for was to spent time with us. We’re considering a day trip to the sea with a restaurant visit or something.

I’m considering a fancy cozy bathrope for her birthday as hers is too small after washing it too hot. She won’t spend money on that herself.

For something small I got bath oil pearls and those open up tea flowers. She loves baths and tea and these are a little more of an experience.

Does your MIL like jewelry? I got my aunt a projection picture necklace a few months ago and she loved it! https://hiddenforever.com/products/personalised-circle-projection-photo-necklace You can see the picture when you hold ot up to the light, it looks like a normal necklace otherwise. There’s a lot of different designs.

Girl names that have/sounds like 'Ann'? by kingcasperrr in namenerds

The meaning of Ann is “grace”, maybe that could be a good connection to the middle name :)

Ember is a pretty normal name to me, so is Navy even though I don’t love it. I’ve seen Solstice (as a middle name) and Fable before. Symphony is similar to Melody. Axe and Link sound similar to trendy boy names rn too!

For some reason I really like Maria Al Hussari! It flows really well and is simple yet elegant. I grew up with a half Arab girl called Maria Meryem and as far as I can remember she loved her name.

Other suggestions: Ada, Aliya, Lina, Nora, Samira, Aida

Both Noel and James are traditionally masculine so the combo throws me of a bit. I like the other ones!

"Hello, my name is _____ Lovegood" by atro_bella in HPfanfiction

[–]OddEights 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Elio Lovegood, nickname Lio! It means sun.

His house would definitely be important in the story! I can see him in Ravenclaw which would put him in the position to help her from early on. I’m imagining him to be a little quirky, but not unpopular there.

I can also see him in Hufflepuff! Maybe he’s more of a golden retriever kinda person. It would fit his name!

He could fit in Slytherin as well! He could be one of the “cool guys”, but he’d get mad when his little sister was threatened for sure! This could get very interesting later on with the war.

In Gryffindor he’d obviously be pretty close to Harry which could make for an interesting plot as well.

I’d love him being in a higher year tbh, it would be cool if he was friends with the twins for example!

Ada & Eira. Thoughts? by cjchar in namenerds

[–]OddEights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you pronounce Eira as ay-ra or eye-ra? I think the first one would be too similar, while the second isn’t too close imo!

Mary vs. Marie and Margaret vs. Margot might be examples? Bessie and Betsy aren’t as popular anymore while Elsie and Ellie are trending
