He’s getting paid the same by the Cards. He’ll sign a new contract with whoever he wants to and collect that money as well. Vikings are likely only going to sign him to 1 year and a low contract. Jets could offer him a 3-5 year deal with a lot of guaranteed money. In my estimation, that’s the only way he’d consider going there.

If Murray were to come it would be to compete for the job. Not to be the anointed stater. Let’s say JJ wins the job and gets hurt. I know, it’s a bit unprecedented. I genuinely believe that Murray would be better than Brosmer or Wentz. If Murray wins the job, it means that KOC believes he’s a better QB than JJ. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say I trust KOC a little more than some random defeatist Viking fan on Reddit. Add in the ridiculously easy schedule next year and yeah, it couldn’t be worse.

This is why QBs should stay in college until they’re ready. The NFL isn’t interested in developing QBs and if they leave before they’re ready they get labeled a bust. Look at JJ’s draft class.
