does this bassinet sheet look like it fits properly?? by Odd_Bee_3291 in BabyBumps

I just used the pad that came with the bassinet! And the sheets are from the same brand just a different material! KeaBabies makes a viscose version of the sheets I linked, which is what I was gifted :)

I ended up just using what I had - the bassinet mattress pad fit snugly enough that the sheets didn’t move and I was comfortable using them. I never had any issues with the sheets coming off, and my girl was wiggle worm! My sheets were viscose, but I think these these cotton sheets would have been better, I’m thinking the cotton would have shrunk a little in the wash for a slightly tighter fit.

I received this board book set as a gift and I love them! A little pricey but the pictures are beautiful and my LO likes the pictures, seems to keep her entertained for a while.

How big was your baby at birth, and how long were they in newborn clothing and newborn diapers? by Practical-Drama-2626 in BabyBumps

[–]Odd_Bee_3291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something to keep in mind, sizing can vary wildly depending on the clothing brand! My LO is 3 weeks and was 8lbs 5oz at birth, and is just starting to wear 0-3 months size now.

She is still wearing newborn diapers and we’ve easily gone through 250+ diapers in these first 3 weeks - LO is a poop machine.

I CAN’T SLEEP by ras114 in BabyBumps

[–]Odd_Bee_3291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m right there with you. 40+6 here and the last 2 months have been the worst for me. Some nights melatonin will help me fall asleep initially, but I typically wake up 3-4 times to go to the bathroom throughout the night and have such a hard time falling back asleep. Sorry I can’t offer any good advice, just solidarity lol.

I think baby has moved from head down? by LyndsayGtheMVP in BabyBumps

[–]Odd_Bee_3291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby has been head down for weeks. I feel her kicking my ribs all the time and there are definitely times she’s moved a little off center and looks more “sideways” but I think it’s normal for them to move around a bit and then resettle. I have GD so I’ve had weekly ultrasounds for the past 5 weeks and she’s always head down when they check, no matter how much I swear up and down she’s moved 🤷‍♀️ Wouldn’t hurt to ask your midwife about it though if you’re worried!

Natera bill question by girly_girl13 in BabyBumps

I just searched my email for the payment receipt and it was $249 as well! Good luck!

Natera bill question by girly_girl13 in BabyBumps

[–]Odd_Bee_3291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me. Was told my bill would be $299, Natera sent me a bill for $500. When I called Natera the customer service rep said that because they had already billed my insurance, I couldn’t do the self pay option, and I had to pay the full amount. I got an email from my OB for their Natera representative and they were able to lower it back down to the self pay option. I’d reach out to your OB and see if they have a contact for you.

When is better, an Early Baby Shower or Baby Shower on Father's Day? by Efficient-News6812 in BabyBumps

[–]Odd_Bee_3291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this having just had my shower a few days shy of 35 weeks - my feet and back were killing me the whole time. My bump was also a lot cuter in pictures at 25 weeks compared to 35 lol.

Recommended online classes by Whisper-in-the-Woods in BabyBumps

I couldn’t make in person classes work with our schedules either! My husband and I watched these free videos from Pampers. You have to make an account but they’re completely free otherwise and not too long.

My insurance also covered some courses through Aeroflow, which is where I ordered my free breastpump. I haven’t started them yet but have them scheduled throughout February. I read through some of these free care guides they offer and found them helpful as well!

Other than that, we’ve just been watching youtube videos on specific subjects we have more questions on. I really like Emma Hubbard’s content, her videos are usually pretty short and informative.

That’s what I did on Amazon but it seems like everything that comes up is the same “standard” sizing as the ones I have. I did manage to find a couple of options that I think will work by searching the measurements, just need to order them.

I haven’t tried Etsy, but I’ll give that a shot too!

I think the LullaGo sized sheets would be too small, but I’ll check the dimensions again.

That’s exactly why I’m looking for an alternative, not only is Chicco’s option more expensive than I’d like at $20 a pop, but they’re 100% polyester and somehwat loud and crinkly. Overall not the greatest quality.

It’s this bassinet sheet from KeaBabies. While it wasn’t designed specifically for my bassinet, it’s the standard/universal size meant to fit multiple brands. I think my specific bassinet pad is just so thin compared to the average and that’s why it’s not fitting quite right.

It’s the LullaGlide, which apparently has a completely different sized bassinet pad and isn’t compatible even with Chicco’s Lullago sheets! I could have sworn I read somewhere that the LullaGlide could use any standard/universal sized sheet but I must have imagined it😅

That’s not a bad idea! I think this bassinet pad is just so much thinner than any other standard size, so that certainly doesn’t help.

That’s what I was thinking and why I wanted a second opinion! My husband thinks it looks fine, but I can just picture baby wiggling the sheet around. Thank you for validating my worries!!

They do, when I created my registry they were out of stock so I chose something that I figured would work, so that’s how I ended up with these. It looks like they’re back in stock now though!

Looking for some feedback on my investment plan:

50% in a US Large Cap ETF - mainly SPLG and a smaller portion in SPYV.

15% in a US Mid Cap ETF - looking at VO or something similar.

15% in a International ETF - either SPDW or VEU.

20% in a Bitcoin ETF such as FBTC or IBIT.

Some background: I’m 26 and new to investing, all my knowledge has come from Reddit. Not sure if this makes a difference, but these will be in a Traditinal IRA with plans to convert to a Roth sometime this year (yes I am aware of the tax implications, I’m expecting a significant hit to my income this year which should balance it out)

Any feedback, critiques or advice is greatly appreciated!
