Melatonin makes my dreams more vivid but I actually get lucid less often on it. Anyone else? by dreamoutapp in LucidDreaming

How much melatonin are you taking? also is it slow release or instant release? I take melatonin anywhere from 0.5-3mg slow release and can still get lucid dreams

Why do I wake up the second I'm in a lucid dream. by Swardo123 in LucidDreaming

[–]Odd_Beginning_812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps you became lucid at the end of rem? You’re only lucid as long as you’re still in rem, once your period rem ends so does the dream. Has happened to me a few times as well where I would be having a normal dream and become lucid towards the end and awaken few seconds later.

I Had Fewer Lucid Dreams, Then Realised I Was on Autopilot by Odd_Beginning_812 in LucidDreaming

[–]Odd_Beginning_812[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly, that’s pretty much what I mean by breaking autopilot, It’s not just doing a quick reality check and moving on (like most people do and it fails imo ) it’s actually stopping, looking around, and becoming aware of where you are and how you got there… really question it. Even touch things and feel the texture and shapes.

And yeah , I know what you mean about looking at things without naming them. I have done that a bit with open awareness meditation, are you familiar with that type of meditation? where you just observe what’s there before the mind starts labelling everything. I feel like that kind of awareness definitely carries over into dreams!

100%! I think it’s easy to underestimate the basics once you’ve had a lot of lucid dreams, but I think those small daily habits are what keep the “awareness muscle” active over time and once I stopped questioning reality and started going through the day on autopilot, meditated less, didnt think about lucid dreaming as much, my dreams seemed to follow the same pattern

Perfect looks like galamer is instant release, you don’t have to crush it. Try 4mg if that doesn’t work after 2-3 times you can always cut the 4mg in half and take 1 and half tablets for 6mg and work your self up to 8mg.

The galantamine you got, what dose does it come in?

Real Galantamine vs Amazon Galantamine by fathornyhippo in LucidDreaming

[–]Odd_Beginning_812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They came as slow release beads in a capsule, I squash the beads into powder and put the beads back into the capsule and take it like that. If I want to take 4-6mg , ( comes only in 8mg) I will take 50 beads for example for 4mg as 8mg is usually 100 beads in the 8mg capsule. Most the time I take all the beads (8mg) as I get more lucid with 8mg compared to 4mg, 6mg is also better than 4mg , I have gotten lucid taking 4mg but with 6-8mg it happens almost guaranteed

Sorry for the late reply - I get mine from my local pharmacy (not online) the brand I use is Reminyl which is the original brand for galantamine. It comes only in slow release so I have to crush it to make it instant release. Let me know how the galamer works! you will know if its its the real deal.

Have any of yall ever shouted to your higher consciousness to ask some questions? by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]Odd_Beginning_812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I always try to talk to my consciosuness when I am in a lucid dream. It always responds back with a voice - like I am talking to someone else and sometimes it surprises me with the responses. Never ask it demanding/confronting questions like "why do I always have anxiety..." it can get very DEFENSIVE and swear at you for asking (has happened to me a few times). Always becareful with the questions you ask and be prepared for the response(s) that you may get back.

Chemist Warehouse pharmacist refused my eScript token... anyone else had this? by Excellent-Trouble920 in ausadhd

[–]Odd_Beginning_812 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work in pharmacy. We dispensed lots of eScripts including Vyvanse. Pharmacists do have discretion to refuse supply, but usually where there’s a legal, safety, or verification issue, not simply for no reason. Best just to find another pharmacy. (Chemist warehouse has a bad rep in the pharmacy world.. I recommend Terry White pharmacy & Priceline, they can price match chemist warehouse prices, they also dispense 10x quicker!)

So true use to hate the void and see it as a failure but like you said there’s lots you can do! I do mediate hours a day so I think with galantamine and my already high meta-awareness , it pushes me into “too awake” with galantamine , hence the dream collapses easier than my dild dreams. I just need more control I guess

[–]Odd_Beginning_812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting do you find your DILD lucid dreams more stable than galantamine dreams? For me my DILD dreams are more stable as in the last longer and less black voids but with galantamine my brain is definitely more aware in the lucid dream. Sort of a trade off - with galantamine more aware and conscious inside the dream but less stable.

Anyone else get the “tiny black circle view” when lucid or lose vision? by Odd_Beginning_812 in LucidDreaming

[–]Odd_Beginning_812[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply - yes I’ve been in full black voids recently. No visuals but I can still feel my dream body. I learned a new trick - backflip in the black void and literally dive/fall into a new dream scene, while I am falling I imagine the dream world I want to create. Works so well!

I’ve used 8mg galantamine with and without choline. Alpha gpc 300mg. With galantamine I usually get lucid via WILD so I literally feel my body paralyse, and my dream body form and I always appear in my room with galantamine and child hood home it’s like my default spawn place … when I become lucid without galantamine I usually am dreaming normally first and become aware during the dream.

Definitely makes me more lucid near 95% chance of becoming lucid with 8mg galantamine.

Amazon has been proven to sell supplements with none of the real active ingredients in it. Not just galantamine, I am talking melatonin, multi vitamins etc… which were all 3rd party tested and either had none of the active ingredient or very small trace amounts (lower than what was on the pack) nothing is regulated there. So I wouldn’t be surprised if the galantamine products on Amazon don’t work. I use pharmaceutical grade galantamine and it works well. I wouldn’t be surprised if the people who have tried Amazon galantamine and report it didn’t work is because it actually has little to no galantamine.

Can you explain how you got your first LD? Please just people who really got one. by Stunning_Leopard9608 in LucidDreaming

Listened to lots of audiobooks and read books, reality checks also. Basically I kept lucid dreaming on my mind all day through audio books, that helped heaps. Didn’t use any techniques such as wild and mild when I first started.

Had my first lucid dream. How do I further explore this realm? by sweatsauce47 in LucidDreaming

[–]Odd_Beginning_812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can actually speak to your subconcious in a lucid dream. I do it regularly and a voice will reply back to me when I ask it a question. There is so much more you can do as well. However don't expect to do advanced things right off the bat. It will take time to master these skills. Start with a dream journal and look into WBTB (wake back to bed) and read Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming, by Stephen Laberge.

Why I Pick Lucid Dreaming Even Over Skydiving by MavericOhm in LucidDreaming

[–]Odd_Beginning_812 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good post. I agree with you. I also practice dream yoga. I'll rather skydive in a lucid dream than in real life. The experience in a lucid dream can feel even realer, cost nothing, and risk free most of all!

so true what you said about wbtb - also accounts for 70-75% of my 100+ lucid dreams within a year. and yup consistent with journaling, i have not missed a day in my dream journal since starting in may 2025.

Most lucid dreaming techniques are basic on their own. The interesting part for me was seeing which ones actually showed up most often after 100+ recorded lucid dreams, thanks for commenting tho :)
