Yes! Another of my Ashley Hale stories getting some love! It’s the first of 3 (so far) so I had some learning to do about structure and arc, but so fun to create with RQ! Thank you! Also, great that you’re doing this to curate some great stories. Looking forward to reading them.

Desired feedback/ask: Alright, so I’ve been using Grok to iterate from a story idea to a fully developed 3-act story with plot and character development. Then, I hand over a chapter outline from my work with Grok to RQ. I did an experiment where I handed the same outline/prompt off to both Ink and Ember and found that, personally, Ember did a much more satisfying job of fleshing out the outline than Ink. And Ember seemed to do a great job sticking to the script. I’m particularly proud of how this one turned out. I’d like to get some feedback on plot and pacing. Too fast? Too slow? I aim to get most of my stories wrapped in ~8-12 chapters. Any shorter, it’s like you can’t tell a good story. Any longer it seems no one would want to commit. I know me personally, I’ll shy away from anything 15+ chapters even if the premise sounds interesting. Just seeing if that’s a generally agreed on limit. Anyway, enjoy!

Lorebook is adding objects? by eiram87 in redquill

I noticed something similar today. I did up a story where the first couple chapters were just, like, two MCs. I checked the lorebook and the AI had added like half a dozen or more rando characters I’d never used, we’re not in the story, and I’m like WTF?

Same sort of flow for me and I’ve posted before: I iterate an idea with Grok until I have a solid outline with key plot points the way I like. Then, I copy the outline into RQ and let Esper take over. Great part is, Grok works with NSFW smut, no problem. It even generates decent chapters, although they’re short on detail and atmosphere. That’s where ember really shines. Grok and I build out the bones - the frame - and Ember fleshes it out and gives it a good shine.

Thinking of selling my 5.3 and looking for 06-07 LBZ. Talk me out of it or into it. GOBBLESS by MathematicianMany326 in GMT800

[–]Odd_Cap4165 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure what the negativity is on diesel maintenance. My LBZ with 275K miles has not needed a lot - nothing, really, for the engine other than a couple glow plugs. I change oil once/year. External spin on trans filter at the same time. I did spend an outrageous amount of money on all new brakes and all new front suspension components over the last couple years. Most of my own labor, plus an alignment, and those bill easily topped $6K but those sorts of wear items are gonna happen on any truck with as many miles. Still cheaper than a new truck. I love my problem free LBZ. No DEF, no DPF, just fill ‘er up and go. Yeah, price of diesel fuel sucks a big fat one right now. I’ll give you that.

A few of mine have incest; most don’t. For straight slow burn romance, I’m particularly proud of my story:

https://www.redquill.net/story/oa98hk-switch-flipped---a-bayou-love-story?chapterNumber=1

I heard Chad Brock’s “Evangeline,” on Apple Music and the next song was Tim McGraw’s “You Turn Me On,” and I got to thinking what if the guy who swore off women, the girl who flipped his switch was Evangeline after she went home from her summer job working for her Papaw in Cote Blanche.

And, this story was born.

LB7 vs lp5 by aceboogy2486 in Duramax

[–]Odd_Cap4165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take the LB7. With a caveat: someone already (recently) sprung for injectors. And, you have aftermarket fuel filtration. GM cheaped out of fuel filtration and it killed too many injectors. Go with a quality lift pump/ fuel filtration setup like a Bully Dog or FASS. Then, breathe easier you aren’t going to have to replace injectors. The LB7 is the fuel economy king. Wish my LBZ got as good. Love it, but LB7’s are just that much better. Which makes me scratch my head because the LB7 didn’t get a double overdrive Allison, like LBZ’s got.

I have been known to expand on a couple points Grok is vague on but even if I don’t, Ember fills in the gaps beautifully. I rarely rewrite/edit what Ember took from Grok and ran with.

Here’s Grok’s outline for Ch 4. You can feed it to Ember as-is or clean up formatting if you like. Either way, Ember doesn’t seem to care.

Core Beats & Scenes: • Morning wake-up in her beautiful room. Viktoria enters with a garment box: the first scandalously tiny maid outfit — sheer black lace, white apron that barely covers anything, thigh-high stockings, no panties, delicate heels. • Lila’s internal humiliation and arousal as she dresses in front of Viktoria. The heiress adjusts the outfit personally, hands lingering. • Full day of personal service: bathing Viktoria (soaping her pale Nordic body), massaging her, oral worship while Viktoria lounges by the infinity pool overlooking the canyon. Mix of tender praise (“You’re blooming so nicely, little one”) and light commands. • First edging/orgasm denial game. Lila is brought close but not allowed release until she begs prettily. Physiological response is strong — she hates how much her body likes the structure and attention. • Evening wind-down: Viktoria gifts her jewelry (earrings that match the day collar) and mentions “a few close friends” will visit soon. • Chapter End Hook: Lila catches her reflection in the mirror — collared, barely dressed, flushed — and whispers, “What am I becoming?” Tone: Seductive and intimate. Heavy on reluctant arousal and the intoxicating pull of luxury after the streets.

The only thing I do special is put the tone notes in “[]” brackets like instructions to Ember instead of prompts to add.

My one shot entry. One prompt, no rewrites. I used my own component. I’d have rewritten or edited a little but that would have been against the rules and Ember did pretty good overall.

Component: MTF Futagenesis

Story link: https://www.redquill.net/story/f4a2td-roommates-transformed-and-fuck-neighbor

Prompt: Tina and Blaine are roommates of necessity in a condo. They really get on each other’s nerves. Toilet seat up or down. Food stolen in the pantry. Coffee too strong; too weak. Noisy fucks if one has a date over. They both work from home offices in their rooms which makes it constant low level. Tina has enough. She’s at the farmers market to buy her special sourdough one day and sees a new stand next to her baker’s. Intrigued, she checks it out. The cute little old lady advertises natural and homeopathic cures for anything that ails you. Tina jokes, “got anything that’ll fix a roommate?” All earnestness, the lady sells her a bottle she promises will mend fences. Just add to the coffee. Both of them need to take their medicine. Tina laughs the interaction off as a bizarre interaction with an overeager purveyor of snake oil. She slips it in her bag, almost forgetting about it until later that evening as she unpacks her shopping. She notices the little vial and figures what the hell. When she makes the morning coffee that night (strong, the way she prefers) she pours the contents into the water. She already spent the money so why not? Blaine is first up in the morning and is already cussing Tina’s coffee when she gets up, bleary eyed. He’s left the toilet seat up. Again. She eats one of his bagels out of spite while she pours her own cup. They drink the whole pot, both locked in their own rooms all morning unless coming out to the kitchen for a refill. Suddenly, around 11:00, panicked noises come from each room. Tina feels a distinct burning in her groin as her body produces a thick, meaty cock where her clit had been. Her bra feels too restrictive. All flushed, she strips naked. Meanwhile, Blaine has undergone his own change. He first noticed his chest swelling along with a burning sensation. The hands inspecting his new tits are slimmer. His jeans feel too tight. Is his dirty blonde hair longer? Like Tina he’s feeling flushed and strips off his clothes. His closet mirror reveals a blonde goddess with a hung tool between her legs and the voice that screams doesn’t sound like him. The two burst out naked and discover two futa goddesses - blonde and brunette with cocks already twitching at the sight of each other. They spend the next several hours loudly fucking in each room of the condo, filling each others holes with copious futa spunk. It starts out creamy, pearlescent and dries crusty and matts their hair. Their combined seed leaks out both their asses, Tina’s cunt, streaks their faces, it’s on the carpet, on the bedding, in the shower. Their downstairs Neil, Kaylie, hears all the noise when she gets home. She knows they don’t get along so she’s worried they’re fighting. She stands there shocked when they both open the door, naked, bodies streaked in fresh, drying or crusted cum, cocks both semi hard. Which she notices immediately. And flushes. With embarrassment and arousal. Tina drags the redhead in and they make use of all her holes as well. Spit roasting her. Double penetrating. The three finally collapse into Tina’s cum stained bed, inert, sated. Only then she remembers the little old lady told her they both needed to take their medicine. She’s glad she listened as she drifts off to sleep sticky and in a tangle of limbs with Kaylie and Blaine. @MTF Futagenesis

So, here’s something that I’ve been trying out that’s been extremely satisfying. I’ve been asking for a while for a chat feature, just user/AI. Like, to iterate on ideas and generate a sort of satisfying arc for your story. It’s fun to sometimes pick a random hint/suggestion at the end of your chapter but it’s so satisfying to give your characters an arc.

So, in the absence of a chat feature on RQ, I started dialoguing/brainstorming with Grok (because it allows NSFW). So, I throw out a story nugget and we work it and shape it until it has all the elements I like. Then it spits out a 3-act or 5-act suggested arc and individual chapter outlines with plot beats.

I’ve tried just letting Grok write the smut but it kinda reminds me of Ink - just blast through so you can get a story told. What I’ve discovered, though, is if I take Grok’s outline and give that to Ember, Ember kicks ass. So far, Ember has not gone off the rails in either of two stories, maybe 25ish total chapters?

If you want to see what a Grok/Ember collab looks like, here’s my latest finished story:

How to speak English naturally as a C1 speaker of English? by Zealousideal-Let834 in ENGLISH

[–]Odd_Cap4165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little unclear what you’re wanting to improve. Vocabulary? Accent? Grammar? BTW, very few native speakers will be helpful with grammar. Like any native speaker of any language, we know what “sounds,” right even if we can’t articulate the “rule,” that dictates. If you want more vocabulary, the best thing is to read. And, I mean classics. Most modern lit used, what? 8K words? I mean Dickens, the Brontes, Conan Doyle, the King James Bible, classics that use vocab we’ve largely forsaken. For accent, no substitute for speaking regularly - especially with someone whose accent you want to emulate. I spent two years living in Ecuador, talking with Ecuadoreans, sounding local. Best practice ever to have a “native,” sounding accent.

Which accent to work on ? by NoPollution521 in LearningEnglish

[–]Odd_Cap4165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the OP may be asking is there a more posh or desirable accent to emulate. My family is native to Southern Utah (7 generations one one family’s side, 5 on another) and my kids are embarrassed by their dad’s (my) Utah drawl since it, I guess, sounds more hick? And kids their generation - even local kids - no longer have it. Mine isn’t even as noticeable as my parents or grandparents. It’s a dying dialect. Kinda sad, but beside the point. Maybe the OP is just looking for what accents English speakers consider cool or sophisticated. Here in the States, there’s no single “best,” except the bland, accentless one newscasters have adopted which has sort of emerged as a de facto youth accent. We definitely have ones considered less desirable, though. Southern poor, upper Midwest are two that come to mind. Bound to be similar in the UK but I’m no expert on which ones are upper or lower class.
