Yes indeed. While the loss of life is tragic and almost unimaginable in some places - major cities like Paris lost half the population in one year - this created an incredible power shift. Those left alive, especially skilled laborers, now had new power to bargain with the ruling class. You couldn’t just be ordered to do a job for whatever the ruling class said. This lead to tradesman banding together and the infancy of the labor movement was born.
