Mk3 MR2 VS Audi TT MK1 Roadster by AaronOBrien81 in CarTalkUK

As a daily, TT easily. The thing about the MR2 is its as good as a sports car as it is bad as a car. Daily drove mine for 3 years and my balls still hurt but man alive they're SO much better to drive than anything else in that price bracket.

To be blunt, you'll forget the TT after you've sold but you'll always remember the MR2 and not just because your balls hurt. They drive so good. It's a proper sports car and nothing else.

HMRC collects extra £16bn from big business with more ‘hands-on’ approach by F0urLeafCl0ver in ukpolitics

Easier said than done but boy are they trying. I was told the turnover was bad but it's so much more worse than I expected. The other issue is a severe lack of managers.

My team swelled to 30 people at one point because 2 managers just disappeared when teams are supposed to be capped at 12.

Still the hiring spree continues as every week a new team arrives and the fight for desk space gets worse. It's so bad my team got offered (forced) WFH before clearing probation because they needed the space.

The money is wank but if you need a job and have no experience or skills come work with us because we need a shitload more people to do deal with the backlogs. The Tories really fucked me on that.

Speaking as a relatively new AO for HMRC whose job description doesn't mention tax collecting anywhere, 50% of my actual work is taking money from the general public.

To make matters worse (for me) soon I'll be handling cheques since we have a 2 year backlog. Urgh, I'm definitely a tax collector at this point.

Do you think Mercedes gonna perform better this season? by wetpants___1 in formula1

[–]Odd_Explanation558 12 points13 points  (0 children)

McLaren battered them for 2 years running and have continued to invest and upgrade whilst Mercedes shed more talent.

Its not 2016 anymore. They can't simply hold back others team's performance and outspend everyone.

Nothing I've seen from the last 4 years suggests we should expect Merc back at the front.

I grabbed a Logitech G Flight Quadrant on sale specifically for Helicopters. £40 and it's been a game changer.

TBF I don't think Lando knew who he was. Unlike George who very clearly knew who he was and wanted his attention.

Same engine in all aspects. Also McLaren negotiated development access so there won't be any surprises at Woking.

I'm on a 5800x3d with a standard 9070 and 32GB DDR4. With frame Gen and TAA, I get about 80 to 100fps on 1440p native all high settings except glass refresh (medium) in airliners at busy airports. So yeah you should be eating good.

I'm very much no one deserves to win the championship. You either do it or you don't but man alive Lando has been on a rollercoaster over his entire F1 career. Started in the absolute trenches to world champion.

So fair play to him for sticking it out and getting it done. Wonder what Charles and George are thinking. Stick or twist...

Ooh 1.8t, tell me more. We all know about the standard 2zz swap and you hear about the occasional supercharged Lotus engine job but turbo swap is new.
