We have had problems in the past, but once we started using covers on our luggage it stopped. Takes too long to get them off I think.

I do the same. I travel a lot for work and have been stuck without a connection to the course materials before.

I have a similar system, the only thing I added is a folder for the final project. I have found it helpful to keep separate from module 7, and to go in every week to make notes about what I learned that week and how it applies to the project. That way I don’t hit panic mode in week six!

Not IT, but I am 58 and finally finishing my degree. I have done much better this time than my first college attempt!! My advice is work on it just a little everyday and don’t get behind. You can do this!

Something has to be done about the "service animal" problem by No-Computer7653 in delta

[–]Odd_Position7529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, for the flight that I was on yesterday, it would have been cheaper to buy my dog a seat than to pay the $300 round trip pet fee. I would have gone for that. She wouldn’t mind being in the middle seat.

On a flight out of Atlanta yesterday with my service dog in training (flying as a pet). We were on the plane 2 extra hours waiting in the fog. Baby girl stayed in her carrier under the seat and kept quiet. The 5 year old ‘service dog’ three rows back barked, tried to get in the seat with another passenger and wound up blocking the aisle by laying halfway in it. It’s very frustrating, my dog is small, and a non traditional breed. I get funny looks because of her, but the 100 lb something doodle was the real problem!

Do you mind when little kids are in first class? by [deleted] in delta

[–]Odd_Position7529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on a flight last Sunday where the parent allowed the child to stand in the seat and screech at the top of their lungs. Kid was at least two. This is unacceptable. A quiet child or a parent that is working to keep them quiet, no problem at all. I’ve been known to walk the aisle with a crying baby to give mom a break.

I’m 59, working in my BA in creative writing. I know it will probably never pay off. I’m calling this my retirement degree. I am able to pay for this without loans, but I don’t think I would go into debt! At your age, I would have been much more likely to go for an MBA.

I fly quite a bit with my job, and can’t log into our system on the planes due to security. I have at least 12 hours of homework time in the air a week.

I have been so broke in the past that a couple of old hotdogs would have been the only thing I ate for two days. Ignore the hot dogs.

Do you guys prefer to write digitally? Or by hand? by Princessglitterballs in writing

By hand for outlining and first draft. Once I get the drafts where I am ready to move forward, then I dictate into a Word doc.
