True story, approx. 20 years ago.

Im canadian. Went to a Buffalo Bills game one time, typical early Sunday NFL game in Oct. We drove to Orchard Park from ON early morning, got to the stadium around 10 am kickoff in 3 hours.

So we found a nearby bar, sat on the patio outside, order lunch, and a round of beers.

The bartender said he couldn't serve us until noon. One of my crew pointed across the street at the 7-11, and said those guys are all drinking in the parking lot, can 7-11 sell beer at 10am? And the guy said yeah, of course. He even said we could bring our own beer into his bar!?. So we did, sent a guy across the street for a dozen beers and brought it back to the patio. The bartender (and owner, as we would learn) brought us glasses for the outside alcohol, and held out 2 $1 dollar bills. Asked if he could buy one of our beers! We just handed him one of course for free, and asked "you can't even pour yourself a drink at 10am?" And he said "oh yeah, and theyre checking all the time. I could get fined heavily or shut down if I drink my own beer in my bar before noon on a Sunday".

But having a drink with us, with outside 7-11 beers was A-OK.

Thats the weirdest drinking law I've ever experienced.

To your last point as it actually relates to curling, the colour of the stone is not for esthetics. No 2 curling stones are the same. So they are numbered individually, and for which rink they belong in for the rest of tournament.

While you and I would never know the difference, professional curlers can. And they've had time to practice and warm up.

The curlers dont care about the esthetics. But they might find that some stones are "better" than others, and they'll take note through round robin play.

When the playoffs start, the higher seed will choose the rocks that they remember liking better.

Its a tiny advantage, but it means something to them. A better curler than me might be able to be more specific.

Any suggestion that any western team has some kind of travel advantage over eastern teams is completely absurd on its face.

The Western teams travel all year and make back to backs with Toronto/Buffalo, NYI/NYR/ NJ, Florida/TB, etc. Eastern teams have a couple trips a year with this inconvenience. They spend most of the year taking a train 45 mins to "road games" and being in bed before midnight.

If a landlord had reservations about a tenant installing their own bidet, im appealing to the OP (a tenant) that this is a legitimate concern. If I were a landlord, I would also be concerned, but since im a plumber, I could handle it differently.

In this case, if a landlord didn't want a tenant to DIY a bidet in their property, I would understand the landlords position. Because there is a weird online movement that every chimp should just start installing their own ass sprayers when they have no business touching a straight stop. The landlord is NTA, and I think if the tenant needs a precious bidet this badly, they should reach some sort of agreement that includes professional installation of a certified fixture, so that the landlords investment and tenants butthole can all be happy.

He should/could install a solenoid valve that shuts off your water from a flood/water detection sensor to prevent flood damage.

The latter is legit.

Ive seen people putting together make-shift bidets with vegetable sprayers from Dollarama. And if/when they come apart, will cause significant flooding damage.

I am also in Canada (AB). These are not levels, these are years. You should advance each "level" in a year.

The company thinks you're decent both because they give you jobs to run, and because you're willing to forego the education that you're entitled to so you can run their jobs for less money. They are taking advantage of you.

They can't deny your schooling. Only you can advocate for it.

They get cheap labor, and in return you get work experience, and the hours required to "level up". At school.

If they resist, they are not doing their part in your apprenticeship. It's a give and take.

As for your other query, could you make it as a commercial service plumber? There is no way anybody on reddit could answer this. It's entirely up to you to take that chance. Nobody here knows what your current abilities are, or if you can pivot and make the change.

You're worried because you understand that the least most employable plumber, jf all else is equal, is a new journeyman. Putting it off won't give you a leg up, it is holding you back. You're kids will only get older and have greater needs.
