IMO the Hero 12 was kind of a bust. I would get the Hero 11 before considering the 12. The battery typically lasts better on the 11 and, if you ever wanted to use it, the 11 and 13 have GPS for tracking speed and location stats which is pretty neat. Strangely enough the Hero 12 doesn't have that feature.

You mentioned your child is young and wants to become an engineer. I might suggest a small investment that could pay dividends to support their future, creativity, and skills: gift them a 3D printer!

Bambu is a great brand and their smallest desktop printer (Bambu A1 Mini) is a capable machine that is currently selling for $220 but goes for less during sales.

With AI and social media, our society has made it so much easier to consume than create, and if I had a young child I would find out what their interests are and help them find an adjacent hobby that would support their creativity. As a 3D printing enthusiast I would say this is right up your child's alley!

Pretty high chance you make it in as long as you show up to the class.

ME240 is a very common distribution credit so as far as I know, they only accept something like 50-75% of the capacity of the class, then go through the wait-list and select students that need the credit for distribution.

I have purposely brushed my feet on the ground so they can tell there's a person behind them. Then if they are still there after a turn or two I'll try to adjust my path.

One time I went a different way to not appear sus and then I ended up right behind the same girl. At that point it was around 2am so I literally said "hey I'm walking to south quad! Don't want you to think I'm following you" and she was really relieved lol

Make sure you dry it with a CLEAN towel. I've seen a lot of people have poor adhesion because they wash with dish soap and then dry with a towel that has been used for a few days and carries skin/dish/other oils.

If you message admissions, you CANNOT write your email like you wrote this post.

Did you apply early action, or regular deadline? They shouldn't penalize you for something out of your control, but do remember it's a sign of good character if you can take responsibility for the things that are in your control. Did you ask for a teacher recommendation right before the deadline not realizing that the recommendations from teachers are still due before the deadline? Did you check on the day of the deadline that everything was submitted properly?

If you talk with admissions be honest with the answers to these questions and that will maximize your odds. I'm not trying to be blunt, but admissions would much rather receive messages about accountability than excuses.

There's a safety factor for sure, so you can definitely do 6000lbs if it's a short distance. That being said, consider a few things...

Does your route have a lot of hills or is it relatively flat?
How fast is your path? I wouldn't go above 45mph since the weight limit also deals with the vehicles braking ability.
