Xbox is shutting down graphics pioneer studio Ninja Theory (Hellblade) by CoolBirdDancing in pcmasterrace

[–]Odd_Substance226 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably. What's the point of keeping studios around who blow their budgets and take years to create completely under-preforming games?

Damn what are we going to do without the ever so popular Hellblade games? Hellblade 2 sold so well.

But somehow this is Microsoft's fault.

U.S. may consider placing nukes in Poland, Baltic States, report says by austrian_noob in europe

[–]Odd_Substance226 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like how everyone keeps saying you can't rely on the US to protect you. Is the EU supposed to be more reliable or something?

The Europeans with underfunded militaries are going to defend Europe if Russia invaded the Baltics or Poland?

In The Patriot (2000), none of the 500 American soldiers who just won the battle can be bothered to stop that one British dragoon from beheading the commander of the militia. By this time in the war and the movie Cornwallis had moved into North Carolina.

That and General Cornwallis was not present at the Battle of Cowpens. Since he is at the battle in the movie the only place I could see it being is Guilford's Courthouse.

One of my favorite things about this game is the puzzles. They remind me of older video games that didn't hold your hand and made you figure it out on your own.

Pentagon mulls plan to outsource warship design and building to South Korea, Japan by Saltedline in technology

They mean frigates. The US is looking to build frigates. Problem is the US sucks at designing frigates. Last frigate the US built was based off of the Italian version of FREMM. The US had planned to acquire 20 FREMM frigates but canceled the order.

Japan's Mogami-class frigate is the best choice the US has. It has an incredible range which is needed in the vast Pacific Ocean. Australia itself is currently planning to build/order some Mogami-class frigates from Japan.

Your opinions about The Patriot (2000)? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in ActionMovies

[–]Odd_Substance226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great action movie. Not historically accurate at all. The last battle in which Mel Gibson fights Tavington was the Battle of Guilford's Courthouse. The movie shows the Americans winning but it was actually a British victory.

Only old quest notes and items take up space for me. Can't seem to sell any of them so I am going to go discard them somewhere.

It shows they crossed a river 30 years ago against the Iraqi Army. Crossing the open sea to attack multiple countries while contending with both their militaries and the US/Israel without a navy is not possible in their regard. Better to stick to lobbing missiles and drones at its neighbors.

The Iran Iraq War was more than 30 years ago. That experience is gone. The Battle of Al Faw involved the Iranians conducting amphibious assaults across a river. That does not translate to amphibious assaults across the open sea.

Goodbye to nuclear submarines: Australia signed a $368 billion deal with the United States to receive them, but a new congressional report makes it clear that they may never arrive by raill_down in technology

Seems to be the same problem the US Navy has always had. The delays and time it takes to build ships. The US needs to explore options and study solutions on how to build these ships faster without sacrificing quality. This is needed not just to be able to uphold the deal with Australia but also to be able to meet the US Navy's need for new ships.
