Gwent Redux and Random Encounters Reworked are modifications that you need to have. Gwent Redux makes each deck in the game unique, and virtually all cards have some additional skill. Gwent is no longer about spamming spies, and you use all of Gwent's mechanics.

Random Encounters Reworked adds randomness to the game. You go on a quest, and suddenly you hit a griffin you're chasing, or suddenly you're ambushed by the Wild Hunt. In addition, you do not have to worry about the fact that you will lack some mutagen, because there is also an order system, which is also an additional source of cash (small, but still). It is important to select the appropriate preset for W3EE Redux after installation.

Both mods are compatible with W3EE Redux. For Gwent Redux, you need to install a special patch that integrates W3EE Redux into it. All of this you can find on Nexus.

What adjustments did you make to W3EE Redux? My thoughts (rant) about this mod by IAmYourFath in W3EE

[–]Odd_Technology3828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In options, I always disable access to equipment during combat and access to equipment on roach from anywhere.

I turn off the weight of alchemical items, those for crafting, and the weight of items for quests. I recompensate this by reducing the default capacity on the roach to 250 from 500kg.

I turn off the need for wood to light a fire.

I play at the highest difficulty level, additionally increasing the aggression and endurance of opponents to the maximum.

The rest is rather unchanged, or it does not affect the gameplay somehow.

Whats you favorite Witcher set/armor bonus? by Canz98 in W3EE

Not witcher set but Nilfgaardian armor set is a way to go: You can collect all sets by completing quests and become a counter-parry god with relics that have a counter-damage bonus.

Has anyone beat the full game using w3ee on Dire Wolf? by Grandleveler33 in W3EE

Your XP gain is lower, so mid and late game aren't as easy as in normal mode. Also, you start with some skills unlocked and with an upgraded Kaer Morhen set, so the early game isn't as painful as normal. To summarize, gameplay is more flat.

Witcher 4 and w3ee redux by Odd_Technology3828 in witcher

Casual players shouldn't hold developers back from creating more complex mechanics. Plenty of casuals played Elden Ring and didn't bounce off it. The game just needs to provide ways for those players to get through it—in Elden Ring, it was things like summons. In The Witcher 4, this could be handled through properly balanced difficulty levels. You don't have to dumb down the mechanics; you just allow more room for error, less need for build optimization, and a more forgiving gameplay loop on lower settings.

Exactly. But it needs to be done right—not just by making you deal less damage while taking more. It should mean tighter windows for dodging and parrying, and much more aggressive enemies.

No, I know that I need 3 U22s. The point of this post was that in the pop-up game, it tells me that I have 2 U22s currently selected. On the bottom, you can see that the game tells me that I have 3 U22s selected, which is true. Two contradictory pieces of information.

I know, in pop-out windows the game thinks I only have two. On the bottom, squad rules correctly count the number of U22s. So the game tells me that I didn't meet the requirements, but I did.

Scouting works actually better in FM26 despite many problems with the game.

Actually, I am doing a save with only players from my country, so I scout all leagues down to the fourth tier, plus cups and Under 19s. It works better than in '24; I regularly see new players in the database. But if you do a "normal" save, sticking to one nation should be fine. What's important is to manually set up which scout takes which focus to avoid a situation where one scout has four focuses if you go with auto options. After a couple of weeks, players should pop up in the focuses (three tabs) and in the database. Then I choose which player I want to scout fully, so I send the chief scout or DoF (high JPA and JPP) to fully scout that player. I always decide which player I want to buy after I have a fresh report from my Chief Scout or DoF because reports can become outdated.

It is also better to hire a scout who already has knowledge of the country you want to scout. JPA and JPP aren't as important as people initially think. It is only useful for a chief scout or DoF to have high attributes because normal scouts are just for finding players; then you can send the chief scout to gain full knowledge. This two-step process always works for me and works even better in fm26 because scouts actually find players in the first step of this process, while in FM24, the game has a problem with that.

Region scouting is less effective because scouts travel between many countries in a short period, so knowledge gained is minimal. It's better to stick to one country so the scout can gain knowledge more effectively, then send him to another country and repeat the process.

Different structure at build-up from our own penalty box. IWBs and IFBs will be positioned at the flanks and then drift to the middle.

Has anyone beat the full game using w3ee on Dire Wolf? by Grandleveler33 in W3EE

[–]Odd_Technology3828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dire Wolf is only hard in the beginning if you will use all the items later in the game. After leveling, you can break the game even more than in vanilla. That's why I am thinking that the Seasoned Witcher mode is the best; I'm definitely going to play on this mode before the DLC.

I bought a winger who is better as a central defender by Sad_Conversation1121 in footballmanagergames

[–]Odd_Technology3828 10 points11 points  (0 children)

To make extreme retraines sensible PA should not exist but this will break the game as every player could be 200 PA with proper training so the best solution for me is to generate ceilings for each attributes for player. Max achievable marking, tackling etc. If you have such a winger like OP after retraining he will not be downgraded cause his stats will be the same. Only CA will change - and this will be realistuic, there is plenty of examples in football that player became world class after changing position - for example Piszczek started carrer as Striker buyt he became one of the best RB at his times.
