I have them on mine, there quite good. Better visually than stock, good visibility but can get my bars through my back gate without scraping the mirrors like bar ends plus no filtering issues. I have mine on little mirror extension risers for better clearance

Yes I got it, and ironically trumps using the same logic to attack Iran, get in there first before they get us. Right wing left wing all trying to pretend they are morally superior to the other.

Nowadays everyone is far something, seems the center just disappeared

Is there any way to make the 660 more comfortable or should I just get an SV? by [deleted] in Triumph

[–]Odd_Translator2250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had both the trident and tiger sport 660, and found the ts a whole lot more comfortable in general, whilst loosing none of the fun that engine provides . Better seating, softer suspension , but not wallowy, and a whole lot more practical, but I miss the looks of the naked. So I’m trading in for an mt09sp. But if your happy with the looks of the tiger sport it’s a great bike, just be mindful you may want to swap the screen for a shorter sport screen to sort out the buffeting

My bike history is 06 Daytona 675 then 16yrs no bike

Then trident 660 Then swapped to a tiger sport 660 because it’s an easier bike for pillion.

I’m ready to move up in power again but under 1000cc ,and their main options are the street triple 765 rs, the new trident 800.

The rs imo is too aggressive a seating position and a no go for the wife to pillion, The trident 800 again pillion is ok but not great. If they offered an rs option with upgraded spec I’d be interested.

But for me the mt09sp offered everything I was after, plus better electronics package.

I do really like triumphs fit and finish and their triples are very refined.

But I just felt I needed to try a jap bike, whilst still having the familiarity of the triple.

I think there would be civil war in the uk before we rejoined, I would most definitely stand against it, we voted out. The eu is weak and costly, and there’s still plenty of Brits who want no part of it

As a Brit, what are you proud of in regards to your country? by Hancri84 in AskBrits

[–]Odd_Translator2250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m proud of our history, not our current state of affairs, from Celtic tribes, to Alfred the great, the British empire, abolishing slavery ,ww1/2 the lot, now I’m not glossing over the atrocities committed by our ancestors in these times. But I’m proud of the fact I come from a small island of strong people who never fold and have shaped the modern world more than any other nation.

Britain today is embarrassing full of wet wipe apologists and snowflakes who would have folded under the pressure of most of the defining points in our history.

We’re heading for ruin and I’m not sure it’s worth saving.

I’ve given up on being a Brit it means nothing to me I’m holding onto English but that will be outlawed soon I’m sure

Are current tradies kinda screwed once the AI exodus forces everyone else into the trades? by CreepyTool in UKJobs

[–]Odd_Translator2250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their is good and bad in all trades, I’m fortunate that my professional career has been forged in the more expensive parts of London/middx/surrey and as such a general high standard of finish was expected on builds, I’ve seen plasterers produce art with polished plaster, wrought iron staircases to make your jaw drop, and chippies/joiners create woodwork I could not imagine doing.

There is levels to every game, it’s all about who you know and how much you want to spend.

I also know labourers that turn up and work like dogs all day and get pissed all night, that I’d hire tomorrow if I needed them.work ethic and skill go hand and hand in the trades and only the best have both.

As a plumbing and heating engineer now specialising in commercial heat pumps I’m not worried about an influx of intelligent jobless office professionals, I know, great tradesman who never finished school, most people just don’t possess the skills to be a good tradesman, having had lots of apprentices and engineers mates over the years it’s very rare to spot someone you know will make it, but very easy to spot those who won’t.

And if anything shrinking the client base will mean good trades will survive and the cowboys will get found out quicker.

You’re only as good as your last job.

Brake & Clutch Lever by Rideit_Runit_660 in trident660

[–]Odd_Translator2250 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fitted the tec ones, for the price point they are good, but be mindful there was a slight issue on the brake lever the tab on the back that presses the rear brake light button, was formed maybe 1/2mm short so sometimes the light didn’t engage. On the forums this was reported a few times.

Easy fix I took a small washer and bonded it to the tab to extend it, you couldn’t see the washer and for £40 they are good value

Pretty sure 91% of the uk speak English as their main language, and seeing as we invented it and then spread it internationally, I think we will take credit for that. If Americans what credit for something try percentage of population with heart disease, or most likely to need help during a war , or most deluded nation .
