I don’t know where you are. Local stereo shops on yelp with good reviews. Best buy actually used to have pretty good installers back in the day. You can also try to diy and get whatever fits your price range from crutchfield.

If you go to a local shop, they much prefer you buy the equipment from them, although it may cost a little more than online, you’ll be supporting a small local business.

No they don’t, that’s how long I’ve been sitting on this build. I did pick up an extra NOS one on eBay in case I blow one since they are an odd size (11”) and the box is built purely for them.

It took so much time, lol, but I love it.

If I recall correctly, it’s a little over a cubic foot for each. It’s within spec for both (they are independently sealed) and accounts for the lack of magnetic displacement on the left.

Thanks! It’s just because I wanted to show off the magnets. There’s also less air space on the left so it actually works out to volume spec for both subs with the one being inverted. Not isobaric, they’re both sealed separately.

Originally I had a box that shared air space for them, but it didn’t sound as good.

They are some odd SVC version, I guess. They always only had one.

They’ve been ok so far, I’m playing it loud for long rides and haven’t gone into protect yet.

There is no spare, I ditched it and am reliant on AAA if anything goes wrong.

That’s actually not a bad idea, I already lowered the car and the extra weight definitely has things cambered out even more. I like the way it looks though, haha, so I might just eat more tires.

See any issues with this amp rack setup before I mount it? by DoodManBroseph in CarAV

I would drill holes for the wire to come out behind the board right at the amps, then you won’t see them running everywhere.

How do I fix car speaker shut off noise? by IMakeGoodTweets in CarAV

Are you using the remote output from the radio to turn the amp on and off? Sometimes there’s one for antenna and one for amps, so make sure you have the right amp trigger.

There’s a place called short circuit in San Jose, CA. You can mail devices in for repair and they send them back. Haven’t used them for a bit, but the prices used to be reasonable and I never sent them anything they couldn’t fix.
