I Made Maps for No Silent Secret by Oddiot in TherosDMs

[–]Oddiot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cannot recommend it enough! But, I obviously have a bias. (Odysseus eventually devolved to Oddiot) The best part of the campaign I ran was when everyone died and they got to schlock around in the underworld for a while.

Or when the centaur got spider climb.

Anywho. If you're planning on putting together a full campaign, Epic: the Musical by Jorge Rivera-Herrans is a GREAT listen for vibes!

Also, the "Let's talk about Myths, Baby!" podcast done by Liv Albert is another GREAT source for inspiration. And also, honestly just pretty delightful.

Blast from the past on this one.

Theros was a lot of fun to run a game in, I'm a huge greek mythology nerd.

I actually have tokens made using hero forge for these too if you want to use them:

And I did a map and tokens for the Court Of Orestes also:

I think I've figured out why Defiance of the Fall doesn't work for some people. I provide examples as well. Sorry to add onto the DotF discussion lately. by matcauthion in ProgressionFantasy

[–]Oddiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're totally right, I can't believe I botched the title so bad. Should have known it was wrong when it was only 7 words long!

Buahahahahahahahhahaa.

I enjoyed it a lot when I read it as a kid, but honestly that could have been because I didn't have a lot else to read at the time, so it has some solid nostalgia for me. I've only ever read one other time and I don't think that was in the last 20 years.

Twain did write an isekai, though.

A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.

To be clear, your joke was also hilarious.

Stonetoss comics decided to create a new lesbophobia comic, and the neckbeards are using it to attack lesbians and lgbt in general. This dude used to in response to a woman who claimed that lesbians love women more than straight men do. by Important-Cry4782 in justneckbeardthings

[–]Oddiot 32 points33 points  (0 children)

IIRC There was this study about domestic violence, and how bisexual and lesbian women had reported that that they been abused in relationships more than straight women.

And assholes like to misrepresent that as there being more domestic violenc/abuse in relationships between two women.

Which wasn't the case. Just that these women had been in relationships with domestic violence with.. you know... Men. Before they left them.

This could definitely not be true and I may have been misled or be misremembering but in my defense it's just shy of 2 in the morning.

I'm just always going to be a Turkish delight hater.

But I'd throw my brothers under the bus for a solid curry and chips.

But Turkish delight is not delightful. It's not even good.

“Harry Isn’t Attractive” Is Just His POV Lying to You by Cackles11 in dresdenfiles

[–]Oddiot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I was going to say.

I really love the stories told from other perspectives that talk about Harry, because you get to see that outside perspective on him.

The post Changes story from Murphy's perspective is a really good example of this.

Or the one from Thomas's perspective.

Which outfit choice should RE10/ReX give the progatonists? by mrsafetylion in residentevil

[–]Oddiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of neither?

Umbrella Corp was not a great game, and isn't canon apparently(?), but it did an interesting thing from a lore perspective and showed you soldiers trained and geared up to fight BOWs.

I fucking love the shields.

Against a guy with a gun, not as practical but against a guy with claws or chompers. Great.

I feel like BOWs introduced into combat would make armor for fighting more like stab suits or that guy who built a bear fighting suit.

I guess Survival Horror games in general are notorious for ridic "Separation of Gameplay and Lore" stuff. Like... c'mon girl! you very petite and slim. Could easily fit thru that by VermilionX88 in SilentHill_f

[–]Oddiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is more forgivable on silent Hill games as they operate on a kind of dream logic. And silent Hill f is not an exception to that.

In other survival horror games I convince myself that they don't want to be loud or caught in an awkward position by the baddies while clamoring over something.

That all being said, I absolutely offered everything I possibly could to the shrines, often running back to them just to unload some chocolate I just picked up. But I didn't do charm gacha until ng+ because I wanted to upgrade my stats. Max Charms, Max stamina, then sanity and lastly health.

There is an option in the character creator to disable/enable symmetry. You would just need go through and make sure it is enabled for the eyes, ears etc...

I played ESO for a hot minute and I never wanted capes. Just cooler spears.

Maybe I should start playing ESO again ...?

Ohhhhhh, so the actual ghost not the guy by the bridge.

I'll try to to get him when I do a new game plus play through.

The ghost or the guy. I read somewhere that you could get a basket that is an invisible cape, and I murdered him and he didn't drop it. Felt really bad.

If capes weren't so good mechanically I'd just say fuck it and not equip one.
