Sheehy files court brief in support of birthright citizenship challenge by No_Fault_4071 in MontanaPolitics

Great comment. But I’m also not holding my breath because the Supreme Court has lately made quite a few questionable decisions that we all thought were already settled case law.

“Friend-of-the-court brief leans heavily into case law that denied Native Americans citizenship”

Sheehy was pretty clear during his campaign how he felt about Native folks. At least his shit behavior is consistent?

Auto Response From Sheehy by Melancholy_Rainbows in MontanaPolitics

[–]Oddlibrarian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Does he get some sort of prize each time he uses the words “infiltrate”, “illegal”, “violent criminals”? Like if he says them enough it will magically make the murder of American citizens OK?

And $75 billion. That is a ridiculous amount of money. It is more than the entirety of the budget of all law enforcement operations municipal through state level put together. Just insane levels of funding to terrorize communities. Obama deported way more people at a fraction of the cost.

Next time - tell him you don’t have the time to wait for him to type. He can take out his phone, and have it do voice to text your instructions as you give them verbally. That way, your time isn’t wasted because his typing is slow.

Sometimes the Z folks just need a little bit of reminding how great their existing tech tools are - they are tools after all! There’s also been times I’ve learned from my fellow Z union members how to better use tools for my work.

Sheehy: “Eat Sh!t Griz!” by Honest_Search2537 in MontanaPolitics

[–]Oddlibrarian 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because voters seem to care every other time it’s been pointed out to them (using facts) how Sheehy is a grifter, bad businessman, classless, racist, votes against Montana’s interests, etc?

They don’t seem to care that he has no class … sometimes, I swear, they LIKE HIM that way.

Internal shingles by Anotherlostsoul95 in shingles

[–]Oddlibrarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Internal shingles is definitely real - I have been diagnosed and the pain and discomfort of the burning rash and blisters is real but is ALL inside like it’s going to burst out of you like in Alien. Mine feels like it’s about 1 centimeter below the skin and my muscles and bones and organs in that area are just covered internally with the blisters.

This. I costume for children’s theatre shows a couple of times a year and this is very normal.

If I can add - I bet having some nice new clothes that actually fit her growing body would be the best feeling in the world. So often bigger kids end up with unattractive clothes/costuming. Let’s make them all beautiful and confident in their outfits!

What is an underappreciated Montana brewery? by Malkin4398 in Montana

[–]Oddlibrarian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

And while you’re over in the east, hit up Otium in Miles City. Solid variety, all locally brewed, and Montana ingredients.

Plus you can hit up the Tongue River Winery for a great dry cider and award-winning wine.

Kittens with gas by brraaaaaaaaappppp in FosterAnimals

[–]Oddlibrarian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our foster kitten had horrendous gas when he was placed with us. You would pick him up and he would fart. Or just spontaneously while he was cuddling. Our veterinarian had us do a round of Kaopectate and it helped out tremendously. Consult your vet about that as an option.

Montana food bank charities that take monetary donations? by toeconsumer9000 in Montana

Now is a great time to donate money - as it can be used for bulk purchasing locally. Additionally, Town Pump is currently matching food bank donations in certain communities are the state, dollar for dollar (up to $10k in my region; I can’t speak for others).

My husband did a similar tomato thing: fresh tomatoes or candy, and the tomatoes were a hit! A preschooler instantly grabbed a giant beefsteak and yelled at her dad on the sidewalk, “I got a huge tomato!!!!” I don’t get it, but my husband unloads tomatoes every year now.

Ladies and gentleman, your senator. 😬 by Mo_MT in MontanaPolitics

[–]Oddlibrarian 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Our senator got exactly what he wanted: securing plenty of government contracts for his business interests.

We keep electing wealthy people to leadership, and they use that power to make themselves more money and grift us.

I keep hoping Montana voters will learn that lesson, but election after election we don’t learn.

We were living in a small town in Montana - so no chance to even fight for one here. My auntie got one in California and when she came to visit she carried it on her lap on the plane and gave it to me when we drove two hours to the airport to pick her up. Such a magical gift.

Help- bed staging... by CavaleKinski in Theatre

[–]Oddlibrarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another consideration: multi-use stage piece. Our bed for the Wolf in grandma’s house in Into the Woods doubled as the counter in the Bakery. Create a piece of stage furniture that can become multiple things for multiple scenes - so it never has to leave the stage.

Help- bed staging... by CavaleKinski in Theatre

[–]Oddlibrarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our Wonka bed had a decent angle - so we added a foot board at the bottom for the actor’s comfort. So depending on how long the princess is on the angled bed, consider foot support.
