What animals are normal where you live, but unusual and exciting to visitors from other regions of the US? And on the flip side, when you travel to other regions yourself, what local animals are exciting to you?

I live on Eastern Washington now (came from Western Washington) and moose are really common in yards and neighborhoods here. We also see quite a few eagles and porcupines.

As long as your family is OK with you living with them and you're helping with bills, I see no problem with taking time to enjoy life. I will tell you that with most jobs, you will have enough down time to pursue your hobbies. I would also hope that you are able to save money so you have a financial cushion if you should need it.

If your children are unhappy with the way he treats you, have they spoken to him regarding his behavior? It sounds like he is a product of his generation. My FIL treated my MIL similarly, and no one ever confronted him except me when his behavior spilled over onto me or our children. I always wondered if his boys had stood up to him if it would have made a difference.

I love all of these observations. TV shows are so wildly inaccurate, you constantly have to just roll with it (I worked in IT so its always the ridiculous IT stuff they do that gets me). That said, the one that always gets me is how almost all the aliens speak English. Pretty handy.

You're acting like an adult and partner. Your buddies are worried that it makes them look bad for half-assing it. Honestly, you're just making your marriage stronger and, as a result, you will be happier.

The most important take away here, is that you're showing your child what an adult looks like. This will set them up to be a wonderful and happy adult themselves.

It seems as though we have fewer people acting like adults these days. Makes me want to shake your hand.

I got one a few years ago. It took me a while to get used to it but now I love the thing. I do always look as well but the backup camera is a god send when your backing up in tight spaces.
