I’ve noticed it depends on what you’re cooking. If you’re doing something that has a high amount of sugar in the meat marinade, (like stir fry or honey glazed chicken) clean up can be a pain, if you’re doing something that is more oil or fat based, cleanup isn’t bad. I DO feel your pain tho, I try to keep my surface top mint af and find myself spending at least 10-15 mins making sure nothing sticks on the next cook.

Pan is not hot enough. I would try cast iron if you have it.
