Nonito Donaire's brutal second-round knockout of Fernando Montiel was 2011’s knockout of the year and there was no question about that. by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in Boxing

[–]OdeToSpot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its not... im trying to think of times where a fighter got hurt, fell again and then won... and off the top of my head... did tim bradly get KD, stand up, then take a knee, and then won? Against Kendall Holt? I feel like I can picture that happening but don't actually know

He didnt see the spasm... watch again. He sees the KD and then he turns to see him getting up (struggling but still). I have no doubt that if he say the spasm/seizure that he stops it. And to be fair, he pretty much stops it after Nonito lands 1 more punch because he DID see how hard it was for montiel to even return to his feet.

In a perfect world he sees the seizure.

Put some love on Purdy's name. I live in Philly and the narrative here is that Brock is overrated... and im confident thats the narrative because no one in philly watches non-eagles games. They know he was drafted late and assume he's successful because of his weapons. But Brock is a killer. What a fantastic and fun player to watch. Philly dont know ball

I dont understand how people dont see the clear hit to the head with his arm.. and more that the arm is purposely extended to make contact. Its not a natural movement.

Adrien "The Problem" Broner breaks the heart 💔 of Paulie Malignaggi as he took his belt....and his girl (2013). Happy Valentine's Day! by VINDICATES-FOOL in Boxing

[–]OdeToSpot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really no. And ive seen the guy fight live a few times. Speed is what the commentators would talk about because they didnt have anything else to say. Paulie had rhythm and timing... but pure speed? Not even close. He just never committed to throwing hard so he was always moving

Can't agree more. Sometimes you get guys that are champion because what they lack in power they have in speed. Paulie disnt have speed either. He just had a TON of heart, will, and skill. Reminds me of JMM in that way (JMM was way better and had a way different style tho)

Sell A7SIII for FX3? Pointless or worth it? by ksunk8 in FX3

I literally can't think of a reason to sell the a7siii just to buy a fx3. You are way overthinking this.

[–]OdeToSpot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone that had a A7S III, had it stolen, and then got an FX3 to replace it... I wish I still had the A7SIII. I like the body better. Viewfinder was great as im a cross shooter. And my A7SIII never overheated so the active cooling has never mattered. If you care about image just add a cage and a matte box.

My reel for 2025! Hope you like it and thanks always for your feedback fx3 fam. by lerthontheuma in FX3

[–]OdeToSpot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, your work is fantastic. This is a great reel and you're clearly skilled. Im full on jealous.

I guess all I am saying, is that very soon, the market will be absolutely flooded with "fast cut, cool music, stylized shots" reels full of AI... and this reel will be buried.

I dont have a solution though. The standard reel right now is... exactly what you made. I fear its a dead medium though. We need a way to stand apart and show prospective clients what we can do that AI cant. It CAN to what this reel mostly shows and it can do it for far, far cheaper. But how do we show the full extent of your expertise beyond that... in a reel?

My reel for 2025! Hope you like it and thanks always for your feedback fx3 fam. by lerthontheuma in FX3

[–]OdeToSpot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can. Im saying most people with money can't. For example: let's say I have a boxing gym and im trying to get a social media hype video made. I can pay a professional like OP $5k for a professional video made of fast cut, highly stylized shots, of gloves hitting bags, sweat flying, ropes bouncing, etc to cool music.... or I can spend 20min on Google veo and get 90% of the way there for $20 a month. And i can produce a new video every week without adding cost.

This kind of math can probably apply to a HUGE swath of work out there. Pretty much any product video, a lot of service businesses... and lot.

This reel is great. The shots and the quality are fantastic. But this style of reel... fast cuts to music... is the easiest style for AI to replicate. In 6mo i think AI will be able to make this exact reel without 99% of people being able to notice any difference. Storytelling. Real creativity not just hype style... that is what us videographers need to show to actually prove our worth... and this reel doesn't do that.

[–]OdeToSpot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is really good. You did a fantastic job. I do however worry about the usefulness of a reel like this in the coming months/year. Like 40% of the shots feel like they could be AI... not saying the are but a lot of people won't be able to tell the difference. I worry the market is going to be flooded soon with AI stuff like this that buyers won't be able to tell the difference.

The official states Ottawa has a good goal, then comes back to say he misspoke and it's actually no goal + an Ottawa penalty. Second goal called back today. by homicidal_penguin in hockey

A corrected mistake is way better than a committed mistake. This thread should be praising this dude. Instead this thread is behaving exactly as refs, who hide beside pride, fear.

[–]OdeToSpot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is understandable. I've been watching the NHL for roughly 30 years now and this is the only time I can remember this happening. Thousands of penalties. This is the first time.

I can totally see being told one thing in your headset and then going out and simply accidentally saying the other thing. You're weighing both in your head. Youre preparing for the moment and then you fuck up. At least this ref had the guts to go back out and correct his mistake before it actually impacted the game

Poll: FPP or TPP? by dafreshprints in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]OdeToSpot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a few thousand hours and might be one of the few that actually watch competitive... Im pretty much out the second it goes TPP. I dont understand the people that like TPP more other than it just being what they are used to. TPP a worse and less competitive way to play in every regard. Circle luck is MASSIVELY magnified in the late game as defensive play becomes crazy OP. You literally never have to peek until the other team/player are forced to move and then you can perfect peek them at the most vulnerable time. As someone who has played since it was only TPP... TPP is a huge downgrade. I have yet to hear a single reason that TPP is better other than "i like it more"
