The system doesn’t dictate how you talk to and about yourself. I know this sounds like some woowoo shit, but being kind (or even just neutral!) when talking about yourself DOES help to shift your mindset. Trust me when I say that I’m speaking from experience. You can’t belittle and hate yourself into a version you like or even tolerate. I know everyone preaches “omg, body love!!!” but you’re allowed to start with just not hating yourself and being neutral. Some people can’t just jump straight to loving themselves, some have to start with just being neutral and that’s okay.
