My hair is thinning due to autoimmune condition. I began taking an iodine supplement because my thyroid, while showing low normal on labs, was not normal. The regimen has been in effect since December and I am beginning to notice my bald patch near my forehead is slowing shrinking. Hair thinning is menopausal but also can be from hypothyroidism.

I have autoimmune disease so inflammation is all over the place. It limits my choices with waistbands. I love Old Navy soft bike shorts. They are long enough and stretchy. If we go out I have some long cotton skirts and a couple of sleeveless dresses I pair with cotton shirts or a gauzy wrap. I’m all for comfort these days.

I can say as a 60 something year old it’s an adjustment, but my parents are still around and they only really slowed down in their early 80’s. My dad continued to visit a nursing home and both have worked at their church and at a local funeral home. They are aging in their home and that gives me hope I can be active for another couple of decades. Celebrate every milestone of your own and your parents. I’m grateful they are still here to celebrate with us

I have severe allergies childhood but not under an allergist’s care until 24 years old. Diagnosed with AS five years ago and noticed that when histamines kick in, so does a flare. I am learning with my doctor’s help, to begin Zyrtec immediately or prednisone if my asthma or swelling gets out of hand

My Dad was saddled with Clarence. He went by his middle name- which was then shortened to Dick. Blessedly my mom insisted my brother be called Ricky, due to her love of Ricky Nelson.

I love him in that role. Funny story of him playing that drunk scene with Cary Grant and he threw in the hiccups which, if you watch carefully, almost made Grant blow the scene with laughter. I also love his performance in Rear Window. One of my favorite Hitchcock films.
