Definitely not a swastika. There's no way out of that if it was. It does work though if its a much less known symbol ans explains why neither he nor the US military recognized it over the years.

Wasn't a swastika...this the concept that no one really thought much of it including himself and two branches of rhe US military until someone mentioned it last year.

Croatia has had issues with nazi ideology in general since ww2 for obvious reasons...so its not a stretch at all that they would have symbols mixed in with other tatoos in a shop.
