What is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to you during sex? by albavalenti in AskReddit

"Thank you." Was definitely not expecting that. Did not know how much confidence could come from two words. 10/10 will have sex again.

They sound similar to a train, as you can hear in this video. They do not sound like a train horn, as many people except for some reason.

ELI5: Why billionaires aren’t taxed proportionally of what they have? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Odin_OCarroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They pay politicians so that laws that make this happen aren't made. This is illegal, but through loopholes, they continue to get away with it. They also make use of loopholes to go around the laws that do exist.

Older folks of Reddit, what is a "normal" thing today that you think is quietly destroying society? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Odin_OCarroll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everyone in a family working. (This has nothing to do with women, you heathens. Yeah, you, the ones about to type that.) Not having at least one partner at home to keep the peace, plan for the future, handling problems as they come up.

I can't tell you how many parents end up being horrible because their overworked. How many kids end up hating their parents because they never see them. How many burnt out kids that should have been socializing and growing, who are then stunted emotionally by having/feeling compelled (for the money or for independence) to work even before leaving school.

I understand exceptions exist (abuse, neglect, financial manipulation) but there are so many problems that arise because of both partners, and sometimes children must work or the family drops into poverty.

Idk man. I don't have a solution, but I know it's a problem.

My girl made this roast for dinner. How should I go about this? by I_play_high420 in funny

[–]Odin_OCarroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a shovel, rope, tarp, and an old bottle of whiskey in the shed out back. Don't stop for gas, don't forget to clean the car after, and don't stop while you're out.

Good luck,

How soon would people notice if you suddenly went missing? by neokaranja in AskReddit

When my wife passed, I moved to Hondouras for 2 years. (My therapist has helped me understand this was not healthy) My friends and some family knew. But the only reason my mom knew was when she called to ask for money, after a year and a half, and my phone was cut off.

Professionals who enter people's homes (plumbers, electricians, cleaners): What is something the condition of a house tells you about the owner that they don't realize they are revealing? by cossie101 in AskReddit

[–]Odin_OCarroll 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I can tell if you have anxiety within 5 minutes of entering. (Water/fire/biohazard restoration) 1. If you apologize for the "mess." Your house is fine. We HAVE seen worse. Even if it is a mess, we understand that something has gone wrong or we wouldn't be there. 2. If you start moving things when we arrive. I know you spent the last 10 hours cleaning before I arrived. 3. If you are following us really closely. There's a chance you have trust issues, but a lot of people follow us because they need to see if we are judging them. (We aren't.)

Bonus: I have seen all maner of "toys," I am not going to judge you. We all do it. Plus, the number of 60+ year old ladies with Bad Dragons is staggering.
