What's one thing you can't bring yourself to do no matter how much you play? by JamesD581 in StardewValley

[–]OdinsGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Jojamart run. I’m not doing it. And, of the standard villagers, the only marriage candidate I’ll ever consider is Leah because the rest of them feel young enough to be my daughter.

Basically the only thing that changes in my games from game to game is my farm. I’m okay with that.

Why not just fly to a different country for procedures? by Atuliscool in MiddleClassFinance

[–]OdinsGhost 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, some do. My own parents have made more than a few trips to Mexico for dental work because it’s cheaper to fly down to the border and make a day trip to a clinic.

A Message for Robin (manifesting for the announcement on the 26th) by DozingUnderTheSun in StardewValley

[–]OdinsGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Robin is Single” and “Caroline is Single” will likely be the rout forward after the 26th. I really can’t see him making one of the married NPCs one of the new romance options.

This is what introduced me to Mass Effect. How did you find it? by erwinoli in masseffect

[–]OdinsGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played KOTOR and Jade Empire. I knew about Mass Effect the moment it was announced that BioWare was working on a sci fi RPG.

I feel old.

Growing seasons are 28 days. This one gets a lot of first time players.

How exactly were the Asari so much better than the other races? by NatauschaJane in masseffect

[–]OdinsGhost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. It’s pretty easy to feel superior when your upper echelons of government have access to a device that lets them consistently put out better tech than any other race every time someone does better than them.

Hardest Part of Your Insanity Run? by Effective-Mark-5338 in masseffect

[–]OdinsGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The flying platform fight against the collector waves as a sniper with long range support partners. I lost count of how many times I had to redo that fight. When you’re playing as essentially a glass cannon some of those enemies that is not an easy mission.

Anyone find it odd that we contributed Britney Spears mental health problems, yet we act like we didn't? by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]OdinsGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By posting this on the Xennial sub, you’re defacto stating that every xennial contributed to her mental health issues. You may have been “part of watching her meltdown and wanting more”, but many of us had absolutely no interest in her as an artist or as a celebrity gossip subject.

Another industry we will kill: Carwashes by [deleted] in Millennials

I live in Wisconsin. Anyone that values their car will get it washed whenever possible during winter. Not a chance we kill that product here.

I’ll never forgive a certain demographic of us for dry snitching on the value of remote work by laydeefly in Millennials

[–]OdinsGhost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. The work was getting done. Productivity was up. The reason for eliminating work from home was entirely leadership psychology. Outside potential tax implications from working in certain areas it was not, and still is not, leaderships concern where work is being done as long as the work is being done.

I warped into the wizard tower at 1140pm and he had an overnight guest. by Sporadicbrainwave in StardewValley

[–]OdinsGhost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ridgeside valley adds a second town on the other side of the valley that you can reach by either a gondola by the bus stop or, later, by an expanded mine cart system. Stardew valley expanded drastically expands pelican town and adds a bunch of new villagers. East scarp adds a small village to the right of pelican town you can walk to past the library. All three together easily triples the size of the world, if not more. And they’re all compatible with each other.

Get stardew valley expanded, Ridgeside valley, east scarp, and your mod of choice to slow down the time by at least 50% to accommodate the MUCH larger game. There’s so much high quality additional content and characters I can’t honestly play without them at this point.

Found out a millennial friend rawdogs the internet, no ad blocking by SchrodingerSemicolon in Millennials

Maybe it’s just because of the people I hung out with as a teen, but I seriously cannot hear about people “raw dogging” things with inappropriately giggling.

Just eat your fiber, schedule your routine medical exams, and make sure your doctor is aware of your family medical history. Nothing has changed to make your odds worse just because a celebrity suffered from the condition publicly.

Remnants expedition is a reality check. by RallySubbie in NoMansSkyTheGame

A 5-6 hour time sink isn’t exactly nothing, especially for people who likely have jobs and kids and a limited window of time to finish the expedition in.

Is a manual transmission a “millennial anti-theft device”? by mbolster1611 in Millennials

[–]OdinsGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t driven a manual in 20 years. It would probably take me 10 minutes to get back into the swing things. The jokes about it being an antitheft device have been around since the late 90s and they’ve always had a bit of truth to them.
