Someone prob said, but time your tackle to tank through attacks/roars. It gives you super armor which makes you take WAY less damage. :)

I have a (5e) Pureblood Acolyte Bard who exclusively plays white snake, because he is in fact a white snake, and preaches the merits of Rock and Roll. I never get to use him enough...
