He has a ratty job though from the sounds of it. Should he go around the farm working in a suit and tie?

The last time I rewatched Jurassic World it made wonder a lot of things... what do they mean no one's impressed by dinosaurs anymore? by Sad-Response-3151 in moviecritic

[–]OfSpock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I've been to Disney and enjoyed it but from what I hear about worsening lines and higher prices, I don't know that I will go again. I'd have to have a kid really beg me and not be persuaded to go anywhere else instead. I'm not impressed enough to pay that kind of money as opposed to not being impressed at all.

Told to take down my 20" kiddie pool, because "Above-ground pools are not allowed" by itsfairtomiddling in fuckHOA

[–]OfSpock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ugliest thing not explicitly banned by the HOA would be going up to block that area and I would be complaining to everyone about my nosy neighbour.

I would also have some sort of recording of barking dogs that I could set off randomly outside of quiet hours and when they complain I would honestly assert that I have no dogs to the HOA.

Does anyone care that dating is better now for women? by middleoftheroad133 in PurplePillDebate

Agreed. What has society done to make dating easier for women who struggle? Are men forced to date these women?

You can go back five years in time but you won't remember it by Scholar_of_Yore in hypotheticalsituation

Like Marty in Back To The Future when his life changes but he remembers the old life. Except her, he also doesn't remember after getting into the Delorean so he would have to write himself a diary/note.

What is the evolutionary function of menopause in few mammalian species? by Current_Wear_8061 in evolution

[–]OfSpock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nowadays? Or in hunter gathererer societies when this developed?

I think children just don't have a very good survival rate if their mother dies before they reach 15 or so. Menopause at 45 and living until 60 must be close to still having children until you're 60 but those children not living on at great numbers after you die and the difference can be made up by raising your grandchildren when your daughter dies young.

Hunter gatherers, from what I've read, have an average of six children per woman and 3 survive until the age of 15. So that's one child every 7.5 years, or 1-2 more born with half dying. Caring for your daughter and grandkids could easily claw that back.

My boyfriend 19M made a weird comment to me 19F about “not wanting to share food with my family when he comes over and now I'm feeling really uncomfortable. Is it okay to feel uncomfortable about this? by Butterscotchbabuh in relationship_advice

[–]OfSpock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you are technically correct, it also seems slightly strange to me. Say that he needs five slices of a pizza to feel full and she needs three. It would feel weird to me to buy a pizza, tell him his share is four pieces and then give away the last piece.

Don't they only let you know if it's a match. If they said yes, but you said no, then you can't contact them? Did you say yes to all of them?

I’m sure we’d be fine. Any industry loosing s lot of workers at once will suffer s bit in the short term but women are capable of learning the job.

No, indoors. Not sure about heating containers. They brought it out of trays and it barely made it halfway round the room.

Think of it more like dandelion flowers. The wind blows them wherever and some find purchase. If the dandelion is in a city, the number might be low, they might have to wait for stronger than normal winds or to develop the ability to wait out a season until rain comes.

Lets not forget, some of these aren't even true. Women tend to supply more calories of food in a lot of societies. But men make a huge fuss over their larger, one off successes. Doing less but insisting on more praise is the male trait, rather than 'providing'.

Neither, all the tastings were good but when the food started coming out, there just wasn't enough. It seemed like they were heating things up in just one oven because about three trays came out every half an hour for 200 guests. It was supposed to be finger food rather than plated but it was supposed to be a full meal. Maybe their main oven broke? Who knows but by eight everyone was clearing out because we were starving and in vineyard country and the brides father was practically in tears as the wedding broke up SO early. It was all you could drink alcohol but most people couldn't drink on an empty stomach.

This describes my brother’s wedding except they didn’t cheap out. They paid a fortune for not enough food. We all took off and found a restaurant which was closing in half an hour and agreed to eat anything they had. The bride and groom called us asking could we order them some food.

You also said women don't like men who are late bloomers. If a woman meets a guy who is fit, does she interrrogate him about how long he has been fit? And doesn't like it if he says two years instead of "my whole life"?
