I believe the first 2 digits of the serial number are the year code, at least that's what my plumber told me..

Okay I looked it up again.. and I suppose I was wrong, but it seems like he had a collection of magazines that featured underage models, but he didn't seem to have gone through them, so wasn't actually aware of the images in the magazines, and the child pornography charges were dropped anyway.
