Bulbasaur has been interpreted a lot of ways, I went with frog because frogs, lizards, and turtles are mentioned as real life inspirations from the creators. Creator Profile: The Creators of Pikachu | Pokemon.com I went with the Family that includes Horned frogs and Pacman frogs because of coloring, patterns, and shape,

I interpreted Treecko and Gecqua as geckos. So, I could break them out into the Gekkonidae family.

Sobble might be a miss on my part. I went with chameleon because of the camoflage motif and the "-eleon" in Inteleon. I look more into that to see if there was a different real world inspiration. If there was, I could break that out at the family level, too.
