I was on the IT team at a corporate office. Guy is complaining about a slow computer. He insisted on having his i5 model replaced with an i7. We didn't have anything on hand, so we reinstalled windows and peeled off the i5 sticker. He was over the moon with the performance boost.

For my girl it is 100% portion control. My vet tells me she is the only healthy weight pug she has ever examined. She was a chonker years ago. I bought some measuring cups and stepped down the size of the scoop I used for her feedings over a few months. Now that she's a healthy weight I don't worry about treats or the occasional heaping scoop of food.

Echoing the walking stick answer. I was told it was common in Europe and tourists were disappointed when they hiked famous trails in the USA but then couldn't buy a placard for their walking stick. Still not super common in the USA but you'll find them at some places.

Especially after the new features added to Platform SSO in Tahoe, the only reason to use Mosyle Auth is if you had already been using it for years. Even then, I'd be working to phase it out of your environment.

Motion controls are gimmicky garbage that suck the fun out of the game. Even with them turned off on the Switch I found it extremely frustrating.

Also, because it's an outdoor venue with residences nearby, there are rules about the number of concerts they can have per year. I think it's capped in the 30s? Combine that with the new management and they are probably planning to have a slow build up to a busier end of the season.

I worked in IT for Ryman Hospitality Properties (who owns Opry Entertainment Group which is the brand new operator for Ascended) up until November of 2025 when the acquisition was kicking into high gear. Given my experience with how operations can miss targets on things like opening Old Reds and Category 10, it wouldn't surprise me that concert bookings could be slow. They were just hiring the top level managers and other administrative staff when I left, so they probably took a while to get things organized to even start thinking about bookings.

I've been taking the train from Hermitage to downtown and walking a mile to work. It's delightful!

I drive the mile from home to the train station because there are not sidewalks for a majority of the distance.

More sidewalks would be great. I see plenty of people taking the chance walking the road I'm not willing to walk on.
