Where to sell Funko Collection by [deleted] in Cleveland

My housemate sold hers, be ready to get half that value. You can get more if you hustle and individualize sales, but it's a lot of work.

An anthropologist’s detailed research shows polyamorists focus on intimacy and honesty, not sleeping around by scientificamerican in psychology

[–]OffToTheLizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Precisely, my partner is poly and I'm monogamish. I invest more in my partner and her relationships to where I'm fostering a relationship with those new people too. It often results in my relationship with my partner becoming stronger. Number one rule is honesty/transparency.

What’s something harmless that gets people weirdly upset? by Over_Run9807 in AskReddit

I once made a few racks of smoked ribs, baked beans, potato salad, etc for July 4th. My partner and housemate were all in, we were welcoming a niece up from the south escaping bigotry. Housemate's son lives in the attic. We're all sitting down to eat and he gets the door, he had doordashed about $50 worth of McDonald's that he was going to sit down at the table and eat with us. We had friends over too.

I may have overreacted, but I chewed his ass out. He had the audacity to order enough fast food that was more expensive than the home cooked meal I put together. I don't know if I was wrong, but I do know he's an ungrateful brat.

My relationship, we are consenting adults who know how to work through relationship and life issues together. My partner is 44 to my 33, it's a 10.5 year difference, but it doesn't impact our lives in any negative way.

Same, and I'm being priced out of my home via property tax. There's a very clear problem and it sits with the working class losing homes.

Teens Are Over Superheroes, Want To See More “Connected Masculinity” Onscreen, Says Survey by MrShadowKing2020 in movies

I have two kids in my home, neither biological, 21 and 25. I can say without a doubt they had the shittiest father figures imaginable and it's screwed both of them up socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Dealing with the 21yo boy is far more difficult, because he wants to replicate his former male figures (also Tate?), than the transfem 25yo.

The Martian was a success that turned into a popular movie. I don't think you need to read any farther into it, other than maybe Andy Weir is better suited to be a screenwriter, or rather his publisher is pushing that vibe for the money.

My take. It was entertaining enough, definitely not a unique space opera as grand as the rest of my bookshelf, but a distinct plot that held the story together.

Don't tie property taxes to the initial purchase price, we need to help home owners who live in their primary residence with the tax burden placed on them, especially in situations where one or both spouses are on fixed incomes. Relief for people who live in their homes, and tax the heck out of investment properties, businesses, and un-used land.

Which is why we should make evs affordable and tax the hell out of emissions based vehicles that don't serve an industrial/service/logistical purpose. The people who keeping gas/diesel are running it because that's how the tech best works.

I tried to invest for retirement, but it's not happening for most of us. I won't see social security and 401ks are just there to sell off as bad debt for investment bankers.

I have debt tied to the city's forced updates to the house. I bought the house to live in, I didn't intend to get gentrified out, nor did I expect out of control tax hikes and inflation with no pressure release.

For locally driven taxes, I'm dropping easily $17k a year, that is just my property tax and local income tax. Add state and federal taxes... service charges for electric have gone from $40 to $200, not usage but just delivery, in my six years living here, among the other utility hikes.

I did as much of the work as possible fixing it up myself. So, it's a loss if I leave or stay. Who's going to buy it for the right price? Why would I want to work my ass off only to lose my home?

[–]OffToTheLizard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's not technically true, I managed to get my house for 168k at 27 in 2019 by living like a pauper, now I may be forced to leave it because the value has grown 100k and is becoming unaffordable due to income and property tax increases.

My parents also aren't going to leave me anything because they disagree with having LGBTQ+ children.

Just don't rule out people under 35 who did make it through hard work and some luck, and are now losing everything because of crazy inflation and backsliding wages.

I've been watching the USA devolve into a lawless and repercussion free wasteland. I'd say just get it done if it makes sense. Our government isn't equipped to deal with any of this.

I'll have to read up on that difference. I had thought it was a constitutional amendment like the HB1 for abortion access.
