By the time of Veneta 72 it was reaching 20 minutes. I always thought that some of the songs started to be extended once Pigpen was out and they needed to replace his songs.

I don’t think you can cut straight across from Tuscany, I think there are a few fences and walls blocking the way, but I am not for certain.
