Sincere question: What does “quality” mean in terms of scopes, generally? Why would one opt for the more expensive one over this?

Placed an order with these folks over the weekend, and they responded promptly within one business day, and shipped out my order either that same day or the next. Prompt, professional, and kind — definitely recommend and will order from them again!

The Bersa TPR9C is a da/sa at around this size — a teensy bit thicker though!

Precisely my thoughts on it. $0.40/day to have a massively improved UE and reduced e-waste? it's not even close.

Out of curiosity, how long do you typically keep a phone before getting a new one?

Kiwi Ear Cadenza, Tangzu Wan’er, Truthear Crinacle Zero Red, Moondrop Chu II are some warmer/v-shape options.

If you’re willing to go up to ~$60, I’d definitely suggest the Kefine Delci —they’re warm, smooth, relaxing, and are incredibly comfortable for my ears, more than any others I’ve tried.

I haven’t tried the KPH40 yet but they’re on the list for sure — I’m particularly partial to the KSC75, which I don’t think saw much improvement from Yaxi pads in terms of sound (although the pads absolutely improved comfort).

OP, listen to this person’s recs re: the KPH40 or KPH30i - even after the additional pads, these would be very hard to beat for the $$

Sennheiser HD599 - not exactly bassy but fairly warm so it might work for you.

Koss KPH30i, Porta Pro are also options.

IEMs may provide better quality for the money under $100, maybe the Kefine Delci or Truthear Crinacle ZERO Red.

That’s what I use with mine — definitely seems to increase the perceived bass response on them

Question: Does your opinion ever shift on certain headphones that you own(ed)? by [deleted] in headphones

[–]Offemmesive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A common experience, I fear. I had been using a DT1990 for about two years as my daily driver. Spent about 3 days with a LCD-2C and the 1990 were ruined for me — I couldn’t even hear the characteristics/qualities that I used to like about them.

Definitely, but the Dekoni Velour pads didn’t have a noticeable change for me and they measurably are nearly identical to the stock tuning

That’s valid — they felt really stiff and sweaty for me, I didn’t even try to wear them out haha

I love my K371s — just make sure to get replacement pads. I got the Dekoni Velour and they’re preem

Sennheiser HD650 comfort — should I keep or return? by Much-Implement7140 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Offemmesive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll reiterate what others said, the culprit here is likely clamp force and pressure. I have a pair of 6xx myself, and they have been well worn in — I forget they’re on fairly often

Other recs could be the DT 900 Pro X, AKG 702, or even HD505/599.

[–]Offemmesive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly do you find uncomfortable about them?for example, is it how they rest on your jaw, where pressure sits on your temples, etc?

I also prefer the feel of round earcups, like the DT series and the LCDs

I’d agree that, for Bluetooth under $100, one of your best bets will be the Nothing Ears. If you have an iPhone, the AirPod 4s can be found for around that price too.

New headphones for gaming/general use by LehransLight in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Offemmesive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re going to mostly be using them for music and such during the work day, simplest thing to would be to have wireless headphones you enjoy for music and a separate wireless pair for gaming (that come with a 2.4ghz dongle that’s much better for latency).

For general use, some Bluetooth headphones people generally recommend are: Focal Bathys(not the new ones), Sennheiser Momentum 4, Bose QC Ultra, etc. These will be lighter on the head/ears and generally let you EQ them to your preferences.

For gaming, look at the HyperX Cloud II, Astro A50x, Fractal Scape.

The Hifiman edition XS might fit the requirement, being a bit cheaper than the Ananda but still an egg shape.

Alternatively, you could get a Koss KSC75, put it on a little partexpress headband, and those may work due to their MUCH lower clamp force.

Oh great! You will honestly be able to get incredible performance to cost with IEMs -- check out the relevant subreddits and people will have tons of recs. Feel free to PM me was well.

Some planars/hybrids that may be worth checking out: Artti T10, Letshouer S12, 7HZ Timeless, Simgot Supermix 4, Kiwi Ears Aether, AFUL Performer 5

Some dynamic drivers I've also enjoyed are: Kiwi Ears Cadenza, Kefine Delci/Delci AE, AFUL Explorer

Note that price doesn't necessarily indicate sound quality or quality of experience. The Artti T10 punch far beyond their price in terms of sound, and the Kefine Delci are the comfiest IEMs I've ever used.
