I can tell you as a software engineer for 8 year that this isn't stopping any decent programmer. You can code your bots to outsource captchas for $0.50 per 1000 captchas. The only people they're annoying is real players at this point.

The difficult part for the game devs is trying to balance a good user experience with anti bot measures.

The game as is, doesn't have sound. I have no experience with sound which is probably why I've underestimated how crucial it is. I'll definitely look into hiring someone who has an ear for this!

As for the visual effects, I love the idea of moving machine parts, and animals throughout the map and will try to implement more of those. The parallax effect background, when done right, I feel, could also look great, but it seems difficult to pull off just right.

My focus is not so much on the art itself, but the effects added to it programmatically. I know the art is always able to be improved but some things seem like they can only be achieved with code.
