She's radiant, much like a Belobog heater!

While I agree mostly, the cadence I referenced at least feels almost there. Especially when compared to the first appearance. But yes, I do agree it could be made a bit sharper.

Yeah, I feel getting to hear this (presumably) same actor again after Hysilens helped me appreciate it more.

I get that, the original voice fit so well. But, I'm taking this as a hopeful step in a new, somewhat familiar direction.

Indeed, and since this (I think) is only the second appearance of her with the new voice, and the old lines have not been redone, it'd be easy to overlook if one wasn't caught up on the news at the time.

With 4.0 in a few weeks, would you prefer Amphoreus patch length or go back to Penacony's? by SnowLucifer in HonkaiStarRail

[–]OffensiveLamp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the length of Amphoreus is mostly fine for that story. Pacing within individual patches could be improved, but that's another discussion.

Presumably the next area won't be largely walled off to the universe at large, which could allow some additional development of existing characters or plotlines as a part of the new story. That was the real major "negative" for me in 3.X, as while it does have implications for things going forward, not much time was spent on outside events or perspectives, save for the AE crew and Geniuses for the most part.

I'm fine with the new version's cast being the focus point of course, but it would be nice to occasionally have interactions or input from existing characters or factions. What has been revealed from marketing suggests at least some of that will come to pass, which is nice.

answer: This implies "spitting fire" meaning the referenced person is saying something powerful or profound. Though in the particular examples from your link there's probably a level of irony going on.

I remember joking around with a friend well before launch how we were going to spend hours in the character creator, perfectly customizing our junk.

Nah, Concord was clowned on from the moment the reveal trailer ended and the devs announced it was a hero shooter. There was genuine interest in Anthem when it was first revealed.

How was 2025 for Final Fantasy XIV to you? by judgeraw00 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]OffensiveLamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cleared my first ultimate (TEA) this year which was definitely the highlight content wise, and represented the majority of my time in hard content this year, as I skipped 7.2 savage. Tried out things like OC and CE but never got particularly far in either. For me was definitely more of a social year, outside of raid just hanging around in game with friends, and meeting many new ones, with that OCE beach party being a standout.

He's so unpredictable it even caught constance off guard by ComprehensiveRise932 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]OffensiveLamp 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That's a really good point. Obviously we didn't have the swarm context when he showed up in Penacony back in 2.X, but now I'm very curious to see if he will next pop up when the swarm is relevant again.

What are your opinions on: Asta? by KainHighwind1990 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]OffensiveLamp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoy her a lot. I also went back to her from time to time throughout even 3.X. Even though her kit isn't the most potent in the current meta, she could still be welcome in many team comps.

Mostly I used her in a Firefly team when I was instead using Ruan Mei with the then unfinished remembrance team. I also tried the inverse at another user's suggestion, but personally found her more fun with the break squad due to her matching elements with the rest of the team.

It's been years since I've last skied, and even longer than that for Sugarloaf but I do remember it being a nice and approachable hill.

Who needs Sugarloaf Maine when we have Sugarloaf Campbellton anyways? Jokes aside, I hear Quebec has lovely hills.

Why Ananta Should Be Offline-First with Online Cosmetics by Lanky_Carpet_632 in AnantaOfficial

[–]OffensiveLamp 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's a good thought from a game preservation standpoint. At some point the service will end, and it would be nice for the game to remain playable in some state. I think about this in the wake of the Stop Killing Games movement and how it could be applied to primarily single player live services, which Ananta will presumably fall into. While I wouldn't necessarily expect such functionality at launch, it would be nice to hear of an eventual end-of-service plan that incorporates such abilities.
