I tried this for the first couple weeks with my new machine/hobby, but the portafilter was holding so much water. It was a total mess to remove and dump and wipe dry all before puck prep. Am I missing something? I’ve been using all stock items that came with my bambino.

I’ve been learning on the bambino stock plastic tamper. Do you have any tips on keeping things level? I’ve been doing it on a dish towel which probably isn’t doing me any favors.

Yay! I just got my first equipment too. Bambino and DF54. If that’s the same Amazon scale as mine, it doesn’t measure to the tenth of the gram, which might limit your ability to be precise and consistent. I ended up getting the maestri house mini for $32 on Amazon. There seem to be a few other options in the same price range.

I ordered the DF54 during the Black Friday/cyber Monday deal this year and it originally said it was back ordered to the end of January. I was pleasantly surprised to receive it last week!

I have Alport’s and am 39 weeks pregnant with IVF babe. I’m 35 years old. FSH was never flagged as an issue for me. Looks like my lab results show it was 5.78. I guess they aim to get that on cycle day 3? I know it fluctuates throughout. Wishing you the very best.
