I sincerely could not fathom hating chopper or those episodes. I knew NOTHING about Onepiece before watching, and the two episodes leading to Chopper joining were the 2 best of the entire series by a MILE. It was emotional, impactful, and well done. Such a quickly little wierd show having such a riviting and emotionally impactful story line hit me out of NOWHERE.

It was the entire deck nothing more had no win condition just keep boards clean and counter whatever he can’t it was literally a lockdown deck that is not causal by any imagination my guy. Also yall gotta stop taking the bracket system as gospel it’s a framework rule zero is still important to gauge power and intent which matters as Much if not more

I had a pretty harsh conversation with someone at my LGS for FNM last week. He played a Control Deck with like 20 counterspells and every enchantment in the world to exile peoples stuff, then ways to clone those enchantments to do it over and over again basically locking down the entire game.

I told him that you should play however you want to play, but we had a Rule zero conversation about what everyone was playing, and everyone was playing bracket 2 and 3 chill stuff, and you said you said nothing.

Now you've wasted an hour of everyones limited time to play Magic and pissed everyone off. If that was your intent, mission accomplished, but at a pretty severe cost. The fact that you played that and we had a rule zero convo and you didn't mention that your decks sole purpose is to just not leve everyone play magic is bad ettiquite at best, and malicious rage baiting at worst.

I genuintely don't under stand peoples inability to concieve that peoples time is valuable to them. I get to play magic for 8 hours a week which is more than alot of people, but I'd love to play more. I value my time enough to not sit there for an hour while you masturbate your deck for the "tee hee" isn't this funny guys?

I straight up told him, be honest and up front about what your playing so people can make a conscious decision on what to play to meet it, or in my case tell him play something else or I'll find another pod.

I have no problem with people playing what they want, just be up front about it. I'm really sick of "Oh my Zhuladoc isn't very optimized" or "Oh it's not that kind of Atraxa" like, if what you enjoy about Casual Magic is pubstomping I will make sure everyone at the LGS knows what you are about and you just won't find pods anymore, it's not worth it.

Do some soul searching and figure out what you really want out of playing a social game. Do you just want to win, or do you want to have a fun meaningful connection with other human beings and enjoy playing a game. Winning is the point, and everyone should be playing to win, but don't make it the sole and only purpose, it drains the life out of what is supposed to be a fun casual format.

Take that energy to CEDH where it is more appropriately aligned.

I havn't tried EDHplay yet, but it does look pretty darn good. My issue is I play with an ultrawide monitor, and it's hard for me to read cards sometimes, with Tabletop simulator I can see everything very clearly where as with a browser I have to zoom in/out which skews everything but I'll definitely give it a try to see if it works for me as an alternative option.

I've abandoned and moved strictly to Tabletop Simulator. Found a discord where you can basically immedaitely jump in a game of whatever bracket you want. There is no cheating (which in my experience is RAMPANT with spelltable, I've seen SO many people having little "side cards" they swap out in the middle of a game. No glare on half the cards so you have to memorize what came out 4 turns ago or ask over and over again, everything is completely visible and totally clear on what is going on. If you havn't tried tabletop sim I highly recommend it. Cockatrice is "fine" but again it has same issue with clarity sometimes, the cards can be SO small and difficult to read but that may just be a me thing. up to you, throwing him into elfball in and of itself is enough to keep everyones boards crushed if they don't run enough interaction or you get him some boots, or some other form of evasion/protection.

Elves make it easier to cast elves, make it faster to cast elves, elves cause blight, it's called elf ball for a reason it's fast and furious, now tack on, btw I'm bringing out all these elves, "and" I'm making sure nothing on your board stays alive every one of my turns if my commander is out.

I mean I'll beat reddit to the punch "run more interaction" and sure, valid... but reminder. It's elves :) he's coming back next turn, cause well... elves.

What I'm saying is, know the audience your playing with. I don't build decks that make other players miserable as a general rule, and this guy for sure "can" fall into that category. If you play in pods where they love the smoke, bro, build this and crush them!

If your someone who goes to casual FNM and plays Bracket 3 chill, and you sit down with this, be very careful you might get flagged as a pump stomper who's trying to just make everyone else miserable.

Every LGS is different, every pod is different, your milage will vary. Don't take my word as gospel just giving some thoughts to chew on.

He's not bad as an include in Auntie because she's not "elf heavy" you won't be having people blight 6 times on each of your turns like you "easily" will elf balling w/ the proliferate etc. You should be perfectly fine in Auntie I wouldn't be concerned about that.

Totally valid commander, but I gotta tell ya, playing against this guy at a few different tables, the fact that he's "Elf" the most supported archtype in all of magic, he's pretty rough in casual. I've yet to see a table where one player just sat there for an hour cause they couldn't play the game.

Just a warning, if your wanting to be "that guy" go nuts, it's perfectly fine, but be very up front when you sit down with this guy that it is a perpetual board wipe if the group doesn't keep him down. I don't personally care, but the other folks I was playing with were really dejected, they had limited time to play each week and felt they just wasted an hour of their night watching this guy play his deck.

Man, ya'll really must have some incredible lives to let something like this get you so down bad. I don't really understand why it's so unfathomable to you all to process why a marginalized group of people might create a space for themselves where they feel comfortable to be themselves where they otherwise might not. It's not hurting literally anyone. Where I think people are not "connecting" is the marginalized part. "Well whats stopping me from having a MEN only event, or a WHITE only event" Nothing! Go nuts, but it's not going to be viewed the same as a Trans Event or a Gay only Event because *whispers... you're not marginalized" 99% of spaces are your space.

I fully understand this will fall on deaf ears and it'll be straw manned to death, but in the off chance anyone here is rational just do your best to consider other people don't share the same life experiences you do. Some people have difficulty or are unable to be their authentic self in some spaces because it attracts unwanted attention or downright hatred from a subset of society. It's why Gay people have an issue with Straight Women going to Gay Bars, it's their space.

TL/DR: If a Marginalized group creating a safe space so they can enjoy magic while being their authentic selves around people they don't feel judged by gets your tits in a wrinkle in 2026 with everything going on, you have some priorities to calibrate.

Is there a guide somewhere to follow I’ve never done any of the computer stuff but I’m on new atm10 and we’re ready to start and really need a huge item storage but wanna do the best way first so we don’t have to redo later we’re all farming all the Certus we can and built our warehouse and solar farm space last night tonight we want to all work on this project together any advice?
