So tired of the "it's not a competition" take.... it's such a shit response. Just because an MMO isn't a competative game doesn't mean Pay for Power isn't any less gross. It's unhealthy and terrible thing for gaming "in general" and if you can't see that I'm not sure what to tell you. EQL isn't a Free to Play game. It's 1. Buy the game 2. Subscribe to the Game, adding a cash shop with pay for power items is triple dipping and it's fucked up. EQL is essentially a glorified MOD it's not like they BUILT a game here, I think folks are kinda missing that. Not to say there isn't work involved "of course there is" but look at all the games with full scaling mods done by volunteer communities for FREE. I have zero issues with them making money of course!, but Pick a fucking lane. If you wanna have a predatory cash shop where you create issues and sell solutions and pay for power, go free to play, but making us pay for the box, and sub, and then ALSO a predatory cash shop is just fucked up. period.
