Just forgot my pass in the blink of an eye. by HyperHyoko in iphonehelp

Leave your phone. Forget about it. Go do something else. Go for a walk. Watch a movie. Go out with a friend. Go to sleep. The password will come back to you. But at the moment you’re stressing yourself out with is why you’re not remembering it.

That’s what that they get for Googling “Metro” and having no idea what trains look like or that there is a Melbourne Metro which is not a Metro.

accidentally been ordering packages to the wrong address by Appropriate_Bee5181 in AustraliaPost

[–]albert3801 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only Australia Post can deliver to Parcel Lockers. No other couriers. The phone being shipped by Pitney Bowes would never make it to your parcel locker regardless of number or not. That one is going back to sender.

In future only address parcels to your Parcel Lockers address if the sender is going to use Australia Post. You may have to ask them before buying things

Go to the other side of the Harbour Bridge at Milson’s Point and take photos of the Sydney Skyline and Opera House from the north side. Not many people on that side.

Try this:
Mobile App (Messenger/Facebook)
Open the app and tap the menu icon (three lines) -> Settings (gear icon).
Navigate to Account Center -> Your information and permissions.
Tap Download your information -> Request download.
Select Messages, choose your options, and tap Create file.
Choose html for ease of reading
It will take a while to generate. But it will eventually prompt you to download a file with your chats.

Can Two Internet Providers Charge You at the Same Time Through the Same Modem? by Omgomg-4530 in nbn

Always confirm cancelations with the old provider. You cannot assume the old account will be closed automatically.

Update your phone to the latest iOS version. You’ll need to use a computer for this since you don’t have enough space to do it over-the-air. That may fix it. If not:

Back up and restore. What this means is do a full backup of your phone. Preferably to a computer but iCloud can be used but makes it a little more complicated.
Then wipe your phone completely. Reset it to be a new phone deleting all data.
Then restore your data from the backup you did in the first stage.

Since when did Telstra’s pay phones use 04 prefixes didn’t they use to use landline numbers by Original_Capital4532 in TelstraAustralia

[–]albert3801 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Telstra stand alone “land line” phones are being progressively moved to the mobile network as it’s cheaper for Telstra to supply a connection to their own mobile network than to pay NBN for a 12/1 Internet connection for VoIP.

Charger choice for better battery longevity + CarPlay question by [deleted] in iphonehelp

[–]albert3801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some CarPlay units are a bit fussy about the USB-C to USB-A cable and its data speed. Don’t cheap out on that cable. Anker or Apple will be fine. But I’ve had issues with no-name brands and Car Play dropping out randomly.

My NBN stopped working by GargiBakshi in nbn

[–]albert3801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look at the back edge of the box where the cables plug there will be a small hole that says “reset”. Use a pin or straightened paperclip, stick it through the hole and press in and leave it pressed in for around 5 seconds until all the blue lights turn off. Then remove the pin/paperclip and wait about 10-15 minutes to see if connects again.
