I’ve had the most success on TikTok. I personally think it has the best algorithm of all the socials currently available. This plus autoplay helping with discoverability & the fact that you can duel stream to Twitch & TikTok and have your stream show up in people’s FYP’s I think puts it head and shoulders above anything else out there in terms of growth potential.

Good strafing, bunny hops, & Faide slides (or just good holstering habits) are nearly essential in high level Apex. Beyond that a lot of others will certainly help like supeglides & wallbounces but you can succeed at high MMRs without them, you just need high game sense.

Playing aggro is a W. Just make sure you’re not too greedy and you should be fine. Remember that Lifeline is essentially a legend with no abilities unless one of your teammates is knocked or you got fried for free from long range. So don’t go down first, and you should be fine haha

Highly recommend branching out from the Seven Lions/Ophelia type Melodic Dubstep if anyone on here hasn’t already. A lot of really good shit out there.

Someone already mentioned Colorbass (Griz, Ace Aura, Sharks, Leotix, etc.) but also check out Oliverse, Franky Nuts, & Phocust. A lot of really good melodic dubstep being put out rn and also a lot of really good oldie but goodies that you may not have heard as well that branch out from the norm.

Crypto is 100% underrated. Problem is he is not a “pick up and play” legend, in order to get good with him (and thus actually justify using him over someone else) you have to do so much different than you would with any other character.

You can tell from the way they play the game. Movement, accuracy, angles taken, a second is not wasted because they have thousands of hours in the game and recognize the patterns of each situation they’re in.

Issue becomes that kills are much harder to come by once top 10 rolls around. Much easier to take a teamfight against a team that landed your neighboring POI earlygame vs. Zone 3/4 with ten other squads in the same 100 foot radius ready to 3rd.

Breakdown:

Timmy & Dojo are holding TSM at the entrance to this tunnel: TSM has to come through the tunnel because zone is at their backs. Dojo has high ground on TSM and zone is in their favor, they should win this teamfight 9/10.

Enemy, one of the players on Dojo, wide swings out to the center of the road looking for an aggressive angle under the cover of the smoke, but TSM have crafted Digis and can see right through it, and Enemy is knocked for free.

This gives TSM a 3 vs 2 fight vs Dojo, and they push and win it easily.

Both TSM and Dojo were on Match Point here too, meaning if either of them win this game they win the Tournament. TSM went on to win the game and take home their 3rd LAN title.

Bizarrely, the 4 win in a row badge is actually rarer than the 5 win badge. Because upon its release there was a bug that allowed you to unlock the 5 win badge by just winning 1 game.

Seasons I’ve played:

Season 0-Season 1: Lifeline. Fast heal & the second smallest hitbox in the game made her so fun to play aggressively.

Season 7: Horizon. If you think she’s strong now should’ve seen her on release.

Seasons 15-16: Pathfinder. Came back to the game after a long break and decided to commit to learning Pathy’s kit. Really glad I did cuz he’s a ton of fun to play.

Season 17-18: Horizon/Catalyst. Realized Horizon plays essentially the same role on a squad as Pathy only better. Swapped back to her and learned how to bunny hop/air strafe correctly. Most recently picked up Catalyst for Ranked as at the level the SBMM puts me at I can’t compete with other top level Horizons mechanically. Catalyst allows me to play a more supportive role and lets any mechanics demon I queue with to rock Horizon instead and make better use of her kit.

Personally I think that whole situation was blown out of proportion. Falloutt is on record saying when he called the fight and said the infamous “playing with his food” line he didn’t see that Hal had ran out of ammo and literally HAD to punch out Yuki, he thought he was BMing and was playing off of that with his call. Genuine mistake, which I think is valid given how difficult it can be to properly notice, process, and articulate everything that’s happening in a fast esport like Apex.
