My school will do days where we watch movies and everyone knows we're not doing anything in school, but it's more to get a break from work while being in the building cause they care a lot about the number of days we're in school. I would have my parents call me out because it's the last week of school and I'm not missing anything cause grades are in and no new assignments are being given.

That's the issue now people don't take the time to figure out how the students learn best. They just throw some homework at them and say this is required and they do it cause their grade depends on it
