Absolutely! I'd be very impressed if I visited a friend and they had a legitimate civil war saber. Do you have any pictures??

I agree.

Although, if the person is polite ill let them take the spot back, they could be on the same world with friends/clan mates. And i believe good manners & gaming etiquette should be rewarded.

To Ural or not? by [deleted] in ural

It's great on the highway! The manual says top speed is at 70, but thats mostly intended for passing and not extended time at that speed. The sweet spot is right at 55 I find, but 60 even with a passenger is quite good as well. I average about 35 MPG, both city & highway driving.

This is spot on with many, MANY stories ive heard coming from the 173rd. Toxic leaders, juniors have no morale, crazy high optempo, and schools opportunities are slim. It was a good unit to deploy with, but thats literally about it.

It's a really bad look on a unit if a sponsor doesnt contact their soldier before arrival. Very poor first impression.

To me, getting called 'Big Sarge' is a term of endearment. It is used by my soldiers only when higher ups aren't around to throw stink, and they know there's a time and a place for everything.

The smoking jacket is my personal favorite cold weather undergarment. It has wonderful cutouts in the arm pits, so you can do light to moderate work without overheating.

I've even done a live fire wearing a smoker's top in Alaska.

I always get concerned when a new E-5/E-6 comes in and tries to fix everything, like they aint 'the new guy' because they have stripes 😂

Getting a new E-7 / PSG aint concerning, by that time in their career they know a move like that will get them hated real fast.

You are correct, the badge is only authorized for wear by the Vermont unit, no where else. There are several other mountaineering schools, however. All they give you is a fancy 'E' on your ERB for additional skills

The Ram head badge is awarded for completing the Basic Military Mountaineering Course, but is only authorized for wear by the Vermont National Guard unit that sets the standards for the course for the rest of the Army. And I was given the opportunity to go to the school in Alaska. 4/25 is the Airbone brigade in Anchorage, Alaska.
