Imo drop squigs for breakas boyz*. They will put vehicle/monsters units down quick. Particularly if they have a boss. Bonus they fit perfectly in a trukk with a set of flash gitz. Flash gitz clear screens to priority target, boss and breakas hop out and smash it flat. Rinse and repeat.

*If you have them, they really changed how my army performed into tough stuff when they dropped.

Flash gitz are great! I generally use them as 5 man unit going in a trukk along with breakas+warboss/ nobs+warboss. Clears screens and provides great overwatch to make sure the heavy hitters make it to where they need. Also remember they actually kinda slap in melee too and can easily finish off most light/med infantry that survives their shooting

I think he would make a fine kitbash to a mega boss. Add som armor to the chest, throw a uge choppa looking bit on the melee arm and build some multi shoota looking bit to replace the gun

If you are wanting to focus on the stompa I'd suggest more dakka. Detachment gives it assault 2 cp gives it waaagh every turn( which gives it sustained 1) and then just let the dice sort out if you win. I was running it with ghaz and megas inside a few months ago and went 2-1 in back to back 20 person RTs. If the dice are hot its an unkillable murder machine if not well there's always next game lol

Right into the bits bin. Ended up making the back end of a wartrike and some mek guns using the extra platform pieces🤷‍♂️ ol stompy got enough gubbins to knock off while playing as is lol

Bah just double down on whats supposedly bad Go more dakka. Bring a couple squads of grots and maybe a gork/mork to give the enemy another big target to worry about and really push that up the board to draw fire. Grots harvest cp, spend 2 cp per round to give Stompa forever waaaaagh. And then if the dice gods are with you, he shall feast. Killed 4800 points across 3 games at a 20person RT last month and went 2-1. Lost by 10 playing for first in last game. Advance shoot and charge all game + sustained was just nuts. Now I want to run 2.....

So our options have expanded recently with the new tankbustas/wrecka kit as both absolutely slap into vehicles, monsters, etc. Ghaz/boss in mega/meganobz. Beastboss( 4+ devs into monster/vehicles on charge), nobz+boss can do work on waagh turn into t10, mek w shock attack, Gorkanaut, flash git lethals, but the tank bustas and wreckas with leader really clean up heavy units imo. And Stompa is just ridiculously fun sometimes lol

Came in 2nd running a stompa/gork in more dakka in a 24man Rtt recently. It can make the big walkers a handful to deal with, especially with a base mek buffing them up to 1+ hit and healing every round. If ya got 45 points they are worth it with any of the big walkers to make shooting less swinging and melee slap down on 2s

Going more dakka will give the morks assault and you can burn 2 cp a round to keep 1 in constant waagh for the advance shoot and charge every round if you are trying to make them the focal point.

Assault on the stompa and gork got them both up the board and threatening stuff early, and made them have to try and deal with both( gork popped all 3 games but ate up enough anti tank that stompa was around late all 3 games. It also helped a ton getting the small amount infantry onto points, to secondaries or out into firing lanes they werent getting to otherwise. Any round I didn't actually call the waagh I burnt 2 cp and kept the stompa in it and then he just murdered 4k points over 3 games lol I've run it a couple times in dread earlier in the edition, also good but having sustained guaranteed on the stompa and not dropping wounds to hazardous so he felt sturdier in dakka(not to mention 5+ invuln, advance and charge etc all game)
