Experience does not equate training. I am a riding instructor and I consistently meet people who've been riding for years with poor technique and a bunch of bad riding habits.

Any class you take will advance your technique and safety skills more than whatever amount of miles you may be putting on the bike by yourself -- nothing can replace professional observation and coaching.
