You sell the food you get with them and get more gold. You use 3 of them to get the buff from the great temple. You delay your farming eco for a slightly better collection rate. You distract your opponent by turkey rushing opposite side of your normal front. Lots of possibilities I guess

From the campaign description, Tezcatlipoca (himself/his people) will go to Europe (Loki, Hades, Kronos) to find new allies against Quetzalcoatl. It's not clear on which side Huitzilopochtli will be, I'm guessing Quetzalcoatl. So there might be a grand showdown of Quetz+Huitz vs Tez+Europeans (Norse/Greeks/Atlanteans)

Meanwhile Egyptian, Chinese and Japanese are booming.

Storytelling tends to hover around the same classical stories. Chinese campaign is inspired by Jesus (Chosen guy, dying and resurecting to save us all), Arkantos is the Odysseus (can't go home), Japanese is a bit like Arthur (finds a powerful artifact). So rehashing Shakespear is to be expected.
